HELLO SIR. I am first year btech student. Right now it been 4 month in this collage. The thing I want to say . I have choosen CSE core. And I am interested in CYBER SECURITY MOSTLY.and robotic Right now I sure about that. The thing that i want ask what roadmap from where should i Start. Know all about this cybersecurity. What step should I take. I from my btech first year. Because I am also interested to explore some field . Sir I want to ask some questions . Like I am i wasting my energy.thing about this cyber security to early. Because I am interested in cyber security but right now my knowledge about this filed is just 2 to 4. I don't want painic at last. That why I am trying to figure it out to early. And there no one to guide right now this time . So plz guide me.

Ans: Disclaimer from me: I am not an expert in this field. I have sought help from my students to answer your query. My students are studying CSE and other engineering courses at prestigious colleges. I spoke with them before replying to your question. I am simply sharing the information they provided in a summarized manner.

You’re not wasting your energy thinking about cybersecurity early at all. In fact, this is the perfect time to start. Since you’re in your first year of B.Tech CSE, begin by building a solid foundation in computer science, focusing on programming (Python, C/C++), computer networks, operating systems, and databases. Additionally, start exploring cybersecurity basics through online courses (like from TryHackMe, Hack The Box, or Coursera) and learn about ethical hacking, Linux, and networking tools. Try participating in Capture the Flag (CTF) challenges to gain practical experience. As you progress, consider certifications like CompTIA Security+, CEH, or OSCP. It’s great that you’re planning early. Just take it step by step, keep exploring related fields like robotics if you enjoy them, and don’t rush. You’re on the right path; curiosity and consistency are your biggest strengths right now.

Good luck.
