My son got in ECE in VIT Chennai and also AI and Data science( medical engineering) from amrita coimbatore. Please give your valuable guidance on which to choose. I heard course offered by amrita is new

Ans: Biomedical engineering (BME) is the application of engineering principles to solve biological and medical problems for the purpose of improving health care whereas ECE is an engineering branch that includes the production, design, research and testing of electronic devices and technology issues related to telecommunications systems, electronics, computers and related industrial sectors (both DIFFERS from one another). Please ask your Son to think over just 10-15 SECONDS, which branch (Medical Engineering or ECE ) he will be MORE comfortable with / interested, to maintain his level of motivation during his 4-year Degree. Though the Course (ME) is new in Amrita, still it is a good option if he is interested in. If not, he can go for ECE in VIT. Whatever Institute / University & Branch your Son chooses, he should keep upgrading his skills from his 1st year itself till his Campus Placement during his last year, from LinkedIn, Coursera, NPTEL, Internshala etc. and / or any other online platforms, recommended by his College Faculties, to be COMPETENT among other Students.

Sir I got rank 5838 in general in jee advance and CRL rank 8134 general in jee mains I got Nit kurukshetra CSE in councelling and chance to get IIT DHANBAD ECE which is best NIT kurukshetra CSE or IIT DHANBAD ECE

Ans: Hello Jatin. Both options are strong. Here, your inclination and interest are more important. Do not compromise your interests and do not follow advice blindly. Still, I suggest considering ECE @ IIT Dhanbad, given its higher brand value compared to NIT-K. The final decision will be yours.

My son got 93.20 in MHCET. Will he got computer science engineering in Pune college

Ans: With a 93.20 percentile in MHT CET, it's unlikely your son will get into a top-tier government engineering college like COEP or VJTI for Computer Science. Cutoffs for those colleges typically range above 98-99 percentile for CSE. However, he has a good chance of securing admission in a private engineering college for Computer Science or a related field like Information Technology (IT) in Pune.

Hello sir, my don got BITS patna off campus in 3 rd round.please suggest is it good to join or wait for upto last rounds

Ans: It depends on your priorities. If securing a BITS seat is the primary goal, accepting the offer in the 3rd round is a reasonable choice, as there's no guarantee of getting a better offer in later rounds. However, if you are aiming for a specific branch or a higher preference, waiting for the subsequent rounds could be worthwhile, but it carries the risk of not getting any seat at all.
