Hello sir I am belongs from obc category I have my caste certificate but that certificate was done in 2023.. can I use that certificate in 2025 neet application form as a document

Ans: Hi Sona,
The validity of the caste certificate is one year. You may use the same certificate for application purposes, but you must have a valid one, including the creamy layer and Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) status, at the time of admission. Your admission will be based on this. Therefore, it is advisable to obtain a new certificate.
Best of Luck.

I am a government primary school teacher in Odisha and belongs to group C employee. My annual income is 9 lakhs and it's from salary only. I have no any other income except salary. As for the norm in my state my daughter has an obc ncl certificate. Can she apply for neet 2025 with obc ncl ?
Ans: As a government primary school teacher in Odisha, determining your daughter's eligibility for the OBC Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) status for NEET 2025 involves understanding specific criteria. The OBC-NCL category offers reservation benefits to candidates from Other Backward Classes who fall under the Non-Creamy Layer, primarily assessed based on the family's annual income.

Key Considerations: Income Threshold: The current income limit for OBC-NCL eligibility is a gross annual family income below ?8 lakh. Families exceeding this income are categorized under the Creamy Layer and are ineligible for OBC reservation benefits.

Exclusion of Salary Income: The Government of Odisha has clarified that, for determining OBC-NCL eligibility, the annual income from salaries of Class II and Class III government employees should not be included in the total family income calculation. This means your salary as a primary school teacher (typically classified under Class III) is excluded from the income assessment for OBC-NCL status.

Steps to Ensure Eligibility: Verification: Confirm your family's income details, excluding your salary, to ensure it falls below the ?8 lakh threshold.
Certification: Obtain the OBC-NCL certificate from the local issuing authority. Ensure that the certificate is issued after April 1, 2024, as it must be valid for the NEET 2025 application process.

Stay Informed: Regularly check for any updates regarding income thresholds or eligibility criteria, as policies may change.

By following these guidelines, you can accurately determine and secure your daughter's OBC-NCL status for NEET 2025. All the Best for your Prosperous Future.

Hi My daughter is studying in Cambridge syllabus and have chosen A levels in physics, chemistry, and biology along with economics. I would like to know the qualifying requirements for getting into Indian universities in core science and biosciences streams
Ans: Shalini Madam, Cambridge International A Levels are widely recognized by Indian universities for undergraduate admissions in core science and biosciences streams. The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) has granted equivalence to Cambridge International AS & A Levels, recognizing them as equivalent to Indian senior secondary qualifications. Eligibility criteria include subject requirements, number of A Levels, and additional considerations such as entrance exams, university-specific tests, and equivalency certificates.

Some Indian universities mandate entrance exams, such as CUET-UG for Central & State Universities, NEET for medical and related courses, and some institutions conduct their own entrance exams. Some universities may request an equivalency certificate from the AIU to validate the comparability of Cambridge qualifications to Indian standards.

To ensure eligibility, it is recommended to consult with admissions offices of targeted universities, prepare for entrance exams, and ensure all necessary documents are prepared and submitted according to university guidelines. By proactively engaging with the admissions processes and understanding specific requirements, your daughter can effectively navigate her path to securing admission in her chosen field of study in India. All the best for your Daughter's Bright Future!
