If your heart is set on medicine rather than engineering, discuss it with your parents and work towards your goal. Even if you choose to study abroad, the expenses will exceed 50 lakhs.

Before selecting a specialization, consider its future prospects. Also, look into the facilities available for biotechnology at the institute you are considering. Many institutes lack basic requirements, and students often perform activities in a laminar flow hood without using a sterile room or closed circuit.
