My son got integrated Mtech in AI in VIT BHOPAL and scored cat 5 in Vitee and expected to get a seat in VIT AP or VIT Bhopal for Btech. He got 77percentile in JEE MAINS and registered in JOSSA for councelling. What to choose now Integrated M tech or Btech in VIT .

Ans: Madam, for your son, prefer BTech instead of MTech as highest number of Employers / Recruiters go for BTech Students during Campus Recruitment compared to MTech for which, will be less. For 77 Percentile, you son might get Tier 3 Institute only. As far as Category is concerned, please check the fee structure of each (VIT-Bhopal | AP) and then decide. Ans: op NITs (like NIT Trichy, NIT Warangal, NIT Surathkal, etc.) → Less chance for CSE, ECE, or core branches but possible in lower-demand branches.
Mid-tier NITs (like NIT Jalandhar, NIT Hamirpur, NIT Uttarakhand, NIT Patna, etc.) → Possible in core engineering branches (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Metallurgy, etc.).
Newer NITs (NIT Mizoram, NIT Arunachal Pradesh, NIT Nagaland, etc.) → Higher chances of getting CSE, ECE, or other good branches.

Ans: If you score between 67-70% in your Class 12 board exams, you will not be eligible for NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs through JEE Main unless you qualify for the exemption criteria.
