Sir I have got 80k crl and 25k obc rank in jee mains, i didn't give any other exams and I'm not sure if I'll be able to crack advance.. (delhi home state so I can get MnC in DTU) I'm confused ki I should apply for bitsat or not given financially my condition isn't good and I'll have to take a loan for the entire fees of it..

Ans: As you have previously stated, it is challenging to achieve a Common Rank of 80K in JEE-Advance. However, it is possible to make an endeavor. Secondly, it is important to observe that a minimum score of 280 out of 390 is required for BITS CS Branches and/or 250 for other in-demand branches. The majority of students make the error of applying for or appearing in an insufficient number of exams. Consequently, I consistently advise appearing in a minimum of 8-10 entrance exams as a backup. Hello sir My son is selected for BS degree from IIT M .. is it beneficial if he opts it along with btech in mechanical .. his jee 2025 score is 95.20 general category from rajasthan.. he is interested in i mechanical engineering. We are waiting to get a college for that. also suggest colleges for mechanical engineering .. will he be able to do both degrees simultaneously?

Ans: Samriddh Sir, IIT-M offers an online Bachelor of Science program in Data Science and Electronic Systems. I trust you are referring to BS in Data Science. A number of engineering students enroll in BS-DS during their first year and successfully complete both programs by their fourth year of engineering studies. The BS-DS will undoubtedly enhance the profile. However, please confer with your son regarding his capacity to manage both commitments, and ascertain whether the online lectures are recorded or live sessions, as well as the minimal attendance % required. Instruct him to review the Course, Curriculum, Assignments, Exams (whether offline or online), and other pertinent material prior to enrollment. Regarding recommendations for other universities, it relies on the results of all entrance examinations your son has taken or plans to take. Hello Team, my brother gave his 12 class exams with PCB in March 2025. Is it possible to get into engineering next year by giving an additional Mathematics exam ? There are certain doubts that:- 1. Can he give only class 12th additional Mathematics exam ? 2. Does JOSAA accept two marksheets ? The original PCB marksheet + The additional Mathematics marksheet ?

Ans: Anmol, Your brother can pursue engineering next year by appearing for an additional Mathematics exam. Most Indian school boards allow students to appear for an additional subject after completing their Class 12th. The result will be issued as an additional marksheet or combined marksheet, depending on the board. JoSAA requires candidates to have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects for B.Tech eligibility. Acceptance depends on whether the additional Mathematics marksheet is considered "equivalent" to a regular 12th-grade pass with PCM. Alternative solutions include giving JEE with Additional Math, pursuing a 3-year Diploma in Engineering (Polytechnic) and entering into the 2nd year of B.Tech via Lateral Entry Exams (LEET), or attending private/deemed universities. It is important to consult your brother's board to ensure they allow only additional Math and the marksheet will be valid for engineering entrance eligibility. All the Best for Your Admissions!

Ans: Piyush, Prefer to join ECE at KIIT. If your VIT rank is 77.4K, you will be placed in a higher category than Category 4, and you will be required to pay a significant amount of fees. Sir my son has got 34878 in VIT,87.5 in JEE Mains, 91 marks in Manipal first attempt. He has Delhi domicile. Yet to appear in Manipal 2nd attempt and BITSAT.What are his chances?

Ans: Please specify which branch your son is interested in. Is the preference solely for CSE and its specializations, or is there openness to other branches as well? Regarding the VIT Rank, he will fall within or outside Category 3, and you should expect to spend a minimum of 3.5 to 5.00 lacs. VIT-V holds a commendable NIRF ranking and boasts impressive infrastructure, though it tends to be quite crowded. He is eligible to take part in the JAC-Delhi Counselling process; however, securing branches that are in high demand may prove challenging with an 87.5 percentile in JEE. He may consider applying to Manipal-Jaipur rather than the Karnataka Branches. For BITS, he needs to achieve at least 280 out of 390 marks to qualify for the CSE Branch. He can also take part in the CSAB Special round as a backup once the JoSAA Counselling concludes, in case there are any vacant seats remaining. Have other options too such as Thapar, Amity etc as back-ups. All the Best for Your Admissions!

Aim for at least 140+ marks to get admission to CSE to be safe. But remember, the cut-off varies year by year. Hence, it would be better to go through the cut-offs from previous years for more clarity.

Greetings sir, I scored 78% in 10 and 75% in 12(Covid result). I pursued CA intermediate through direct entry route. Failed in January. I am 22 turning 23 in august Unemployed and failed attempt. What are the options i have to save my burning career.

Ans: Pursue your CA parallelly, but for having a tag of graduation immediately go for an online BBa for two years. At least you will be graduate after two years, otherwise your bio-data will be dead. If you can clear CA then it is very good, otherwise after BBA join some ordinary job and go for an online MBA. They are much cheaper than off line courses and you get ample time. I will recommend D Y Patil University, Pune. Best of luck. Professor..........:)
