Greetings Sir! My daughter is pursing CSC 3rd year Manipal. She is not interested in higher studies and want to work. I heard that only skills matter not PG. I thought she could pursue PG while working. Of course I cannot afford to send her aboard either What is take your own on this

Ans: Anil Sir,

Please note,

(1) Gaining working experience is more important than just keep on adding qualifications.
(2) As your daughter is in 3rd year and Manipal has good placement records for CSE, please advise her to keep adding / upgrading her skills through NPTEL, Internshala, Coursera etc. and / or recommended by her CS Department's Faculties so that she can easily get placed from Campus Recruitment.
(3) She should have a good/professional-looking LinkedIn Profile.
(4) As far as her internship is concerned for 4th year, please note, if she gets through Manipal, well and good. It is practically not possible for college to arrange for Internship for all students. Please have Plan B & Plan C for the same such as, arranging for Internship through some reliable sources or through online platforms such as Internshala etc.
(5) As you have correctly mentioned, she can pursue PG while working. A lot of online courses are also available to keep herseful upgraded. NO need for education abroad, Anil Sir.

All the BEST for Your Daughter's Bright Future.
