What professional courses can my daughter pursue after BSc with PCM? Is MSc Physics a good option?

Ans: My suggestion is to let the individual decide on one's career choices. She needs to identify areas that interest her, her aspirations. Based on that she can decide what she needs to do next. Does teaching interest her, or is it research? Is she good at planning, managing, organising. Does she like interacting with people. Let her think through and take a call.

Ans: Pursuing a career in physics can lead to a diverse range of opportunities across various sectors ranging from Industrial and Government Research to Consulting, Entrepreneurship to Science Policy besides Academics. These are just a few examples, and the career paths for physics graduates are diverse and continually evolving. Many physicists also find opportunities for interdisciplinary work, collaborating with professionals in fields such as engineering, computer science, biology, and medicine. However, I would not advise her to close options in academics as I wish her well.

Some important factors, you should consider to decide the right & most suitable course for her:

1) She is interested in & passionate about which subject?
2) What is the level of her aptitude, attitude, personality & her orientation traits?
3) She prefers Engineering or Medicine or Allied 4-Year Courses?
4) She wants to do any 3-year Degree Course?
5) Preference of Location / University / College?
6) Appeared for any Entrance Exams for UG Programs?
7) Affordability of Fees?

Based on the above factors, decide the most suitable course for her.

Generally, students ignore it at an early stage.
