My boy got cse in SRM with his SRM entrance test score and counselling. I also deposited admission money. Now in board result he needs to give one subject retest which he is giving july 15th and cbse will give result expected august first week. Assuming he will full all criteria as his overall score meeting SRM eligibility. In that scenario in August only I can present all documents to SRM and till then I want to hold the seat, how much that's possible, do they cancel admission if I don't submit all documents by July? Can I hold the seat till August. Then what's the refund policy if they cancel admission? Or What's refund policy in case August any reason unable to take admission?
Ans: Hello dear.
These are all administrative issues. It would be wise to consider the matter before enrolling and paying the fees. However, please visit the administrative office of SRM and inform them of what has happened. The refund policy varies by college. In most cases, the fees can be refunded after deducting small administrative charges. However, if you hold the seat and your son again fails to achieve the required score, there may be an issue. Colleges generally allow the holding of seats for non-preferred branches. You enrolled in the most competitive branch, CSE. Therefore, SRM may not permit you to retain the seat until August. To resolve this uncertainty, visit the SRM office in person and inquire about your options. At this stage, we are unable to assist you as we do not know the rules and regulations regarding SRM admission cancellations, refunds, and other policies.
Best of luck.
