My 8th Grader Wants to Be an IIT Engineer, But Scores Only 75-85% in Foundation Exams. Should He Continue?

Hi Sir,my son is in 8th std.i have put hin in iit foundation course,since he has interest and want to study in iit.But he is scoring only 75 to 85% in his foundation exams.shall i continue him in the same course or move him to regular Cbse .

Ans: Every student is unique; choose the path that aligns with his learning style and aspirations.
While your son’s current scores are in the 75-85% range, remember that foundation courses aim to improve thinking ability and conceptual understanding, whereas CBSE syllabus may be less intense than IIT foundation courses.
Its a great to start in leading time for IIT, more involvement will clear his doubts & increase the focus for aim, and also encourage your son to explore his passion and choose the path.

Res.Sir, My son got 90 % marks in 10th and his PCM group is good. He wants to go for JEE classes for two years. He wants to prepare for IIT. Should I support him ? Second thing he always asks me if I fail in option one then what will be second option ? He is above 88 % from std 5th and his English and Science is Good. He is hard working student. Please guide me for his good career.

Let him pursue his dream. Ask him to be in a positive mind frame. Success and failure are part of life. And one must accept and learn from it and move on.

If he is good in PCM engineering career is a good choice. Let him prepare and appear for JEE-MAIN & ADVANCED. There are other engineering entrances too which will fetch him admission to many other prestigious institutes.

Let him work hard for 2 years this training will help him in further studies.

If he is good in PCM engineering career is a good choice. Let him prepare and appear for JEE-MAIN & ADVANCED which will help get admissions to NITs, IITs & other GFTIs.

Also, there are other engineering entrances, which will fetch him admission to many additional prestigious institutes.

Let him work hard for 2 years this training will help him in further studies.

My son has currently appeared for his 10th Boards in IGCSE. The subjects he had opted for in Grade 9 are Maths, physics, chemistry and computer science He is doing extremely well in Computer science, is fair in math and physics and not too comfortable with chemistry. He wishes to pursue the PCM stream with computer science in plus two as he wishes to pursue computer science in college in India snd hence has decided to switch to the CBSE Board in plus two. My husband however feels he should continue his A levels. My son's decision to switch to an Indian Board is twofold 1. He can score better in an Indian Board and marks make a little of difference in getting into a good college 2. He needs the NCERT syllabus in order to take entrance exams Request you to kindly give us direction as to whether he is right in his reasoning and if so, what his options are for undergrad in computer science that would enable him to get good placements.

All the Engineering entrance exams in India mostly take syllabus of NCERT irrespective of board be it state board or any other. switching to CBSE will help him in scoring well.

(1) Prefer joining him from 9th.
(2) Preparing him well for the Entrance Test of Coachig Center Coaching Center to avail maximum SCHOLARSHIP.
(3) Before choosing the right Coaching Center, take into consideration the following:

(a) Scholarship availed
(b) To join weekend or weekday classes?
(c) Distance/travel time from your home to Coaching Center and back.
(d) Pressure your son can bear to manage both School & Coaching Center.
(f) Reviews/reputation of the Coaching Center and its branch near your residence.
(g) Who will help him whenever he has doubts?? At home or in Coaching Center or both?
(h) Among PCM, which subject he is strong/weak in?

Give much importance to Maths or Biology from 8th itself for his Entrance Test of Coaching Center and also for Scoring a good All India Rank in Entrance Exams after his 12th. All the BEST for Your Son's Bright Future.

Hello, I'm about to finish my third year in b.a. in economics, I want to earn money with a settled job for my parents. I'm confused rn, I want to prepare for SSC CGL, and earn good, but I fear of taking a gap after my graduation, since my college is very strict towards attendance and load is too much thus I don't want to go there again for my pg, idk if I should do private MBA or ma in economics or any other diploma in computer related or finance related course while simultaneously doing my preparation since I don't want to do nothing while sitting at home.(Btw I'm from Agra and it's getting hard for me to find good college where I can do my Master's in economics non-regular mode in reasonable fee)

Hi Sir, My Son is studying in 11th std with PCMCs and preparing both for NATA and CET. He was an average student in tenth scoring 55%, we are hoping for better performance in his 12th board. Currently we are staying in Bangalore. We need your suggestion in choosing between BArch or BE (Civil/Mech/Electrical). Which one will be better for him in difficulty level, fee structure, future job prospects and if he wants to Masters, whether he can continue in India or abroad. If abroad which countries or university are good for him for masters. Thank you

Ans: In B.Arch difficulty level is less but he must be good in drawing. A candidate who is bad in drawing can't be an Architect, even if he becomes he will fail in professional life. BE (Civil/Mech/Electrical) needs good knowledge of Maths and Physics. From his 10th score it seems to be he is an below average student. Fee structure is mostly same in both. For Masters we can think afterwards, no question of long term planning. In abroad always USA is the best for Engineering. Best of luck. Regards. Hi , I am planning to pursue a master's degree from Australia in 2025 Feb intake and got my education loan sanctioned from a bank too, but the university requires some interview process for confirming my admission and the interview is done now and it's been more than 1 month I didn't got any reply from the University of whether my admission is confirmed or not , because of the new law of student capping in Australia they are putting it on hold and now I have a offer letter from other university too but the thing is my sanction letter is already used for my first uni and I want to ask is there any way that I can use the same sanction letter for other university too or any other alternative for this that what should I do in this situation

I understand your concern but how will you know whether height is an issue for her until you go ahead and speak to her? If you are worried about confessing your feelings for her directly, it's best you take things slow. Anyways, people are more likely to take such confessions on a positive note if they know the person.

You can start with a Hi, followed by letting her know that you have seen her around quite a few times. You can ask her what she does, and other general questions. Don't do it all in a single day; try building rapport slowly. This way you won't be putting too much pressure on yourself or on her.
