Hi, I'm a 22 year old mechanical engineering graduate, currently unemployed, I'm confused between choosing career path, I want to learn Data Science, & now with my mechanical knowledge, I'm no better because I don't know anything because I never properly attended college because of my mental health. And I don't like working around with mechanical students & people. For now I have been applying for basic mechanical jobs. What should I do?

Ans: Hello, Your situation is not unique. Many bright people like you get bored with things easily. But that too should not worry about but stay positive and focused on your goal, there are ample learning resources online to pick the areas of knowledge you seek to work on. Talk to your teachers, class mates and ask them to suggest areas on how to get on this new knowledge seeking path. Be aware that there is nothing that is unachievable if you mind and heart are in it. Wish you all the best.

Hi, Im a 23 year old mechanical engineering graduate, currently unemployed, I am feeling to do some progress everyday, but day after day, nothing changes, I cant figure out what to do with this life and feeling very much lost, Cant think properly on doing what changes my life?
Ans: Hello!!

This information you have shared is not enough to understand what is that you are exactly wanting right now.
Let me see how I can help you. First of all extend your arm and pat yourself on the back for completing your engineering. You are a mechanical engineer!! Celebrate the fact and feel good about yourself.

I like the fact where you say "I am currently, unemployed", this can change soon, look out for opportunities, keep attending interviews, prepare well, ask for help, give it your best shot. Treat every failure as part of a learning process in becoming better next time. Surround yourself with positive and encouraging people.

Till you find a job, live life well on a day to day basis-
1. wake up early
2. exercise
3. eat well and sleep well
4. dress well at home too, don't be in your pyjamas, you should be in such a state that if someone asks you to come for an interview right away, you must be ready
5. beware of negative self talk... nip negative thoughts in the bud
6. looking for a job is your full time job, keep looking
7. be helpful around the house if you are living with your parents
8. till you find a job keep learning and building on your skills
9. volunteer to teach and help the less fortunate lot
10. do not sit idle, keep your body and mind active

Constantly invest in activities that ensure your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being!! Have rituals that focus on these four pillars of your life!

Blessings and all the very best!!

Hello sir, I am stuck in confusion about my career previously i was working as HR due to personal reason had to leave the job and there was gap of 4 years and again after few years had to do new start up from zero and working to Administration department for almost 4 years i am planning of switching job as i dont find any scope and growth to the work i am doing and underpaid here. Not understanding again i should switch back to HR job or continue into adminstration job and also please advice where will i get to learn and upgrade my skill and have growth in my career. Please help sir
Ans: Hello Tanmay.
Nothing is mentioned by you about your qualifications or company profile. Only it is clear that you left the HR job, remained jobless for 4 years, and joined to new startup, but not satisfied there also, and are again interested in joining the previous HR job.
Dear, it would be better for you to join the HR job again. Working in an administration job requires specialized skills which I think you might be lagging. According to your qualifications, it would be better to join some online/offline courses which are helpful to your present job conditions and also useful if you decide to change the job in the future. As I do not know your educational qualifications, it is difficult for me to suggest you properly. For proper counseling/suggestion, please tell us your educational qualification, extracurricular activities, and computer knowledge if any.

If satisfied, pl like and follow.
If unsatisfied, pl ask again without any hesitation.
Thanks
Radheshyam
