My daughter is 14 years old and I want to invest in stock market for Her marriage approximately for the period of 8 years . Please suggest some good stock to invest 2 lacs one time.

Ans: Would suggest you to invest in a Mutual Fund instead of directly investing in a stock. Since Rs. 2 lacs is low for taking direct equity exposure - even if you invest Rs. 50000/- in each stock - your portfolio will have 4 stocks which is high concentration. Additionally would you be able to monitor? Because it's quite difficult to recommend stocks which you can buy & forget for next 5-8 years - everything today is so dynamic - something which is good today may not remain the same in the next 2-3 years. I am a cancer patient with third stage. I have small income and can save only 25000/- per month. I have a child four year old. I want to invest in stock market. So that i can give some financial support to my only child. Please suggest me one or two options for four to five years horizon. Please help me. Hope u reply me soon.

Ans: We would not recommend putting all your savings in the stock market. As much as it is rewarding, it has risks associated with it as well.

Allocate a portion of it in blue-chip companies like Reliance Industries, Britannia Industries, Bharti Airtel, M&M, HDFC Bank, TCS, ICICI Bank. One can also look at Nifty ETF as well.

Ans: From 4-5 years perspective, you can invest in stocks such as Kajaria Ceramics, Berger paints, Metropolis, M&M, Ashok Leyland, Britannia, V-guard, Polycab, Biocon and Birlasoft.

Ans: if the target is of 2yrs, i would suggest you to invest in any good debt mutual fund, avoid investing in equities as the horizon is small.

Ans: Hi,
Since you are in process development, I'm not very sure whether you do the process mapping or even the coding. In case you are doing only process mapping then MBA is the right degree, but in case you are into development then you need to do further courses in latest technologies.
