Hi Sir, My son will clear 10th CBSE broad till year, move to 11th. His favorite subject is maths..He is not interested in Science... Please suggest which course he take admission now..

Ans: He can take math as one of the core subjects and study statistics in university. Applied math is also an option in university. What are his other interests, if I may know?

Hello Sir, My son is studying in Grade 7 with a CBSE course. He is extremely out of math and does not have any interest in that subject. He feels suffocated as soon math is there. We don't want to burden him with that , only somehow to go with Math till it's mandatory. He has an interest in animals , zoology ,and nature. Pretty much enjoy national geography contents. Just wanted to get correct guidance on his future classes , subject / stream to choose. Let him go and excel at what he enjoys. Thank you in advance.

Ans: I was drawn in by your words, "Let him go and excel at what he enjoys." Giving their kids opportunities to pursue their interests is how most parents should value their kids. Please respect his passion for nature, animals, and zoology. And science without math, which can be PCB, would be the best track for him in his twelfth year. Assure him that you would make an effort to satisfy his interests in science courses for his eleventh, twelfth, and higher education, but also persuade him not to be afraid of math as it is required up to the tenth grade. Ask him nicely to progressively raise his score. You can schedule a math tutor to come to your house, and the tutor ought to be able to persuade your kid of the value of learning math. Please be aware that his interests may change after two to three years because he is just twelve years old and his brain is still in the "development stage." All the BEST for Your Bright Future.

If I am good in mathematics and average in physics then ECE can be a good option for me?

Ans: Jashn, Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) is heavily based on both mathematics and physics; a solid understanding of these subjects is crucial to grasp core concepts like circuit theory, signals, and electromagnetic fields. If you are good at mathematics but average in physics, you may find ECE challenging, as physics plays a significant role in understanding hardware and communication systems.

However, if your strength in mathematics is strong, it can help you manage the applied math components in ECE. Still, you should be prepared to improve your physics understanding to succeed. Alternatively, if you prefer less physics-intensive study and more software-oriented work, Computer Science Engineering (CSE) might be a better fit, focusing more on programming and algorithms with less emphasis on physics.

Hello sir, My son got admission in CSE core in VIT vellore category 3 and also good marks in MET and expecting to get CSE in Manipal. I am from Pune and not sure which one to join.

Ans: Vijay Sir, Your son’s VIT Vellore Category 3 CSE admission offers strong placements and infrastructure but at higher fees. MIT Manipal CSE is also a solid choice with good placements and academics. Both are reputable; decision should weigh fee, location, and personal preference. Hello sir my son got cse and business systems at vit vellore. And electronucs with vlsi in thapar. Chances of upgradatipn are in thaparin second round. His MITscore us 114. PCM is 95%. Jee score is 91.75 percentile. Waiting for comdek. HS j&k. What should we go for? What are the chances of getting cse in any good college?

Ans: Your son has admission in CSE and Business Systems at VIT Vellore and Electronics with VLSI at Thapar University. With a 91.75 percentile in JEE and strong PCM marks, he has a fair chance of upgrading to CSE at Thapar in the second round, though it’s competitive. If not upgraded, VIT Vellore’s CSE and Business Systems is a strong option with excellent placements. Electronics with VLSI at Thapar is a specialized program with good prospects but differs from core CSE. Sir I got 97.4% in my 12th cbse board this year. I want to pursue engineering but I didn't gave jee exam and I don't want to take a drop too.I have given cuet this year however . I am from Punjab and want colleges near my home state and that too with affordable fees.Many entrance exams have already passed and due to lack of information I wasn't able to appear for them. What would be best for me to do?

Ans: With 97.4% in 12th and CUET score, you can apply to many Punjab engineering colleges that admit based on board marks or CUET, including Thapar University, PEC Chandigarh, Chandigarh University, and LPU. These colleges offer affordable fees and good placements. Since JEE Main is missed, focus on colleges with merit-based or CUET-based admissions and apply soon as many entrance deadlines have passed. My husband and I have been married for two years. Ours was a love marriage. I'm Hindu and he is Christian. While we agreed to follow both traditions equally, things changed after his elder sister moved in temporarily due to her divorce. She insists on us attending church every Sunday, and recently criticised me for putting up a rangoli for Ekadashi, saying it's against their beliefs. My husband tries to avoid confrontation and says it's just for a few months, but I feel sidelined in my own home. My parents advise me to be patient, but I'm starting to feel like I am the outsider. Am I overreacting or is this a sign of incompatibility?

I hope you are in good health. Mam, cultural differences due to different religions are from the starting of civilizations. It's okay. Just relax for sometime. Try to understand your husband's position for once. He may be stressed due to his sister's position. His sister will also be stressed. Your patience and your support will be a boon to them. Ans: If your daughter clears Mathematics in the March 2026 exams along with her other subjects, she will be eligible to appear for JEE Main 2026. Passing Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 12 in 2026 is mandatory for eligibility. To further get it clarified, please also approach her school authorities and private tutorials. If a child gets compartment in 1 subject which colleges will give admission with compartment result for mechanical engineering or automobile engineering
