I am getting core branches (civil,metallurgy) in top nit's , ece cse in average iiit's and bit mesra (maybe even IT as per the round 1 cutoffs). What should I prefer as I don't have any branch preferance?

Ans: Ishan, Order of Preference (1) BIT-Mesra (2) IIIT-CSE (3) IIIT-ECE. Prefer Civil / Metallurgy only if you are more interested in it, and confident over them to build a successful career in it, compared to others. It is NOT advisable to accept them only because you get confirmed admission. Please think twice and then decide. All the BEST Ishan.

My son got B.Tech CSE seat in Sai University Chennai kindly suggest about University

Ans: Sir, Sai University is also good. However, please note, success of a Student in his Career does NOT, depend only upon where he / she joins. Instead, how the student is self-motivated, dedicated, upgrading skills, involving in extra / co-curricular activities & improving other personality traits such as communication skills etc. Even the Students joining Tier 3 colleges succeed in their careers. Depends upon what I have explained here. Besides, having a Professional LinkedIn Profile, keep updating them every 3-6 months & knowing about the Job Market Scenarios through LinkedIn Job Alerts are important which most of the Students / Job Seekers do NOT seriously follow. Good evening. I highly value your advice. My daughter is likely to secure admission in Computer Science Engineering at both UVCE and BMS Bangalore through KCET 2024. She plans to pursue further studies after her B.Tech. Which institution would you recommend? Thanking you regards Prabhat

Ans: Prabhat Sir, Prefer BMSCE over UVCE. Regarding her further studies, some suggestions (1) She can work 2-years and do her Masters as some QS-World Ranked Universities abroad prefer Candidates with Work Experience post-Graduation. (2) Or she can pursue Masters immediately after Graduation. No Issue. But, to target Reputed / QS Ranked World Universities, next for 4-years she should be academically good, involve in co-curricular / extra-curricular activities, upgrade her skills with Certifications & develop her soft skills etc. which will (have to be) reflect(ed) in her SOP (Statement of Purpose) apart from her Career Goals & also in LOR (Letter of Recommendation) provided by her College Faculties. All the BEST Sir for your Daughter's Bright Future.

Sir is Rvce core CSE to take for my son or rvce AIML. HE IS GETTING same in pes also

Ans: Kiran Sir, please note (1) Fees of PES will be comparatively little higher than RVCE (2) Ask your son, he is MORE interested in CSE (Core) or AIML more? (3) My suggestion (it is up to your son to choose): (1) RVCE (Core), later he can upgrade his skill after 2nd year (2) RVCE-AIML (3) PES-CSE-Core & (4) PES-AIML. All the BEST.

Good afternoon sir, my son scored 98 percentile in jee mains but he is not getting cse or ece in tier 1 colleges but civil, mechanical etc in all tier 1 further he has choice of bit meshra main campus ece and rvce ece so sir can you plz tell what he should take to have better future ahead

Ans: You have mentioned about RVCE-Bangalore-ECE. But you have NOT mentioned about his COMEDK/KCET Ranks. Anyway, order of Preference (1) RVCE-ECE (2) Mechanical with Tier-1 (3) BITS-Mesra. Ignore Civil. Go for Civil only if your Son is very much passionate over Civil and interested in it. All the BEST for your Son's Bright Future.
