Hi doctor, I've been having periods problems past 3 years.. I was earlier diagnosed with pcos, with and deit and weight maintanence the condition is reversed, yet I'm facing irregular periods I underwent multiple scans the test results were positive( like there are no cysts and issue with the ovaries in the ultrasound scan and fsh tsh and hormone results are positive). I'm 5'4 65 kg, I workout regularly and eat healthy and only rarely I eat junk food. Only with help of hormone tabs I'm able to mensurate. Could anyone suggest what needs to be done like any test I need to take up ?

Ans: PCOS is a condition of the ovary that one is born with. You can optimize the hormonal imbalances in PCO, but the condition never factually reverses because it is a type of theory. So, lifestyle modifications and medication are sometimes necessary to ensure that regular ovulation happens with PCO. Lifestyle modification in terms of diet control, exercise, medication like metformin, MYO inositol. In exceptional cases, cyclical contraceptive pills, etc., may be needed to regulate cycles and ensure hormonal imbalances in PCO, PCOS with androgen excess, men need medication like spironolactone and aldactone to optimize their hormonal imbalances. Weight loss often helps to optimize the condition and resume ovulation in cases of PCOS. Since you weigh 64 kilos, it might be a good idea to lose around 7 to 8 kgs of weight, which will help further improve the cycles.

Ans: A girl's body may not follow an exact schedule. It's common, especially in the first 2 years after a girl starts getting her period, to skip periods or to have irregular periods.
Irregular periods happen because of hormonal changes, weight gain, or rapid weight loss, illness, stress, sedentary life or gynecological issues.
But if periods become very frequently irregular
Please visit your gynecologist
And will advise
1) hormonal test
2) usg pelvis to rule out any ovarian cyst or pco
And will treat accordingly
1) lifestyle modification: regular walk, exercises are needed for hormonal circulation and for release of good hormones
2) avoid junk and have good nutritious food.
3) stress management, yoga, walks meditation

Hello doctor 3feb taking ipill but still no period it after that testing pregnancy it would be negative it was period cramp but not found please help

Ans: Yes, taking the I-pill can cause delayed periods or irregular bleeding. Sometimes after taking I-pill spotting can occur within 7 days or cause delayed menstrual bleeding also. The I-pill is an emergency contraceptive pill that contains a high dose of hormones that can disrupt your menstrual cycle.
But it is advisable to do pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy.
Or visit your nearby gynae to rule out other causes if delayed menses.

Sir, My NRI daughter has to file ITR in Form.2 for FY24-25. All relevant data is visible in AIS. As there is some hurry, can she go ahead and file the ITR or does she need to wait for anything else? There was news that forms1&5 were ready which indirectly meant that other forms were not yet ready. Hence this query, sir.

Ans: AIS is updated based on SFT/TDS/other returns filed by different reporting entities Due date of some of such returns was 31st May and accordingly, AIS is likely to be updated in next 2 week. Thus, it is advisable to file ITR after 15th June.

Further, AIS can be base for ITR but if any income/TDS/other details are available with you but not appearing in AIS; same is required to be reported/considered in ITR as per Income Tax provisions.

Which option is better to take ocean engineering in IIT Madras or biomedical in IIT Roorkie
