Dear Mam. Glad to know that there are so many questions you have answered on yoga. I am following yoga for last 9 months, on an average for 4 days in a week and meditation for almost on daily basis, with evening walks for 7k steps average. In around Sep 2022, i got my blood tests done, which i was not getting it done usually. There was slight scale up on all parameters like Tsh, Sugar and more specific cholesterol was bit on higher side. I have been practicing yoga since Dec 2022 and now i feel great and any day missed without yoga is not the nice feeling. After regular yoga and diet pattern, my gas, acidity, smomatch issues has gone, Tsh & Sugar normal, just in case of lipid, while - bad cholesterol and total cholesterol has come into the normal range, but good cholesteroal and triglicides has not yet touched to normal range. Doctor has given me very mild dose to bring triglisides to normal range. i am having this medicine since last 8 months on alternate days and could not stop this, off late. I have mild stress in 5 days in a month kind of worklife. The yoga i do are 1 hour a day- 10 min calming down, warm up - 15 min, suryanamaskar - 20 min, 20 min - sleeping yoga and concluded with savasana. there are many types of yoga, which i am doing. my question is that, with this lifestyle, what benefits i can continue to reap and if i would able to come out of this mild dose of medicine of cholesterol?

Ans: Namaste! Thank you for sharing your detailed lifestyle with me. You are on the right track. I always suggest that you take instructions from a qualified yoga instructor regularly to better your practice. If you feel spiritually uplifted with the practice of asanas it’s even better. Pranayam is a must and I see that you have not included that in your regime. So please start breathing exercises as well, first under guidance and then on your own. Start practicing meditation. Hello Doctor, I am 44. I was suffering from gastric issues Somewhere in Oct 2021, i started feeling anxious and all negative thoughts. As a nature, i take good care of self. But due to this anxiouness, i was unable to sleep well or even concentrate well. I thought to consult a MD and he took my BP reading, which was in range of 142/90. He avoided started any medications and advised for lifestyle changes to alter this situation, to which i stared with certain life-style changes like, - sun-bath in morning. - walking - morning & evening - meditation - in evening. i continued this till Dec 2021 and again revisited the MD in Jan 2022, to which he advised to continued with the same routine. By March 2022, i was feeling better. Again, the same story repeated in Sep2022 and this time, with lot of gastric issues, sleep troubel and feeling of fear and anxiety and again i visited him in Nov 2022, was getting more anxious. Looking at my condition he started with beta-blocker. The condition was not very much improving and i took the blood tests on my own in Nov 2022 end, to which, Lipid profile was bit out of range, HaB1c - in pre-diabetic zone and in liver tests - SGPT was 62. I visited to the MD with report and he advised me to continue with beta- blocker and to start with the statins daily 10 mg, after dinner. I continued this for Dec 2022 with life style change with yoga and meditation routines along with walks. In Jan 2023, the tests were repeated and it was all NORMAL. The doctor advised to stop the medicines wef Jan 2023 and again advised to repeated tests in Feb 2023. In Feb 2023, all parametere were normal , but Lipid profile was again out of range. The MD again started with the same medicines from March 2023 onwards ie 1 beta - blocker in morning after break-fast and 10 mg statin after dinner. I repeated the tests in April 2023 and it was again all NORMAL. Now, the MD reduced the statin drug to 5 mg from 10 mg and continued with beta - blocker. I am leading a healthy life with yoga, meditation, diets with more fibres and less oily or say no oil deits to the extent possible. I have stopped eating any outside food and fully on home made food only now. benefits till now, - Sleep paterrn improved - Gastric issues has gone - IBS gone, - better mood My questions to you sir, - The MD is again planning to stop the medications in next visit, since all reports are normal and i feel normal. is that okay? - Again, i may develop the symptoms? - I am following a better life style - yoga, meditation, walkings, proper diets, are there chances that i would remain off medicine always? - What are the benefits and disadvantages of station and beta -blockers, if at all, i have to take it? thanks.
Ans: Beta blockers have probably been prescribed for your symptoms of anxiety but they can increase the levels of the lipids. You need to consult a psychiatrist about the best treatment for anxiety.
Ideally statins need to be taken for long because the lipid levels are bound to go up once you stop the statin. We need to decide however whether you really need a statin at your age. Do you have a family history of premature heart disease. If you do not have a family history of premature heart disease, you can probably stop statins for a few years . I am a younger sibling and my older sister is out of India post marriage that is since 16 years after her wedding. But now as my luck had it in store, I need to move out of country with my spouse. This puts strain and constraint on how to manage the single living for my mother. She is 79, active but living alone is scary. Right now, we are managing it somehow since I am in the same city and can keep visiting. Also, I will have to quit my well set job and restart a career/studies rather late in life. We have no kids. To this situation, my sister is not reacting well. She is completely blaming me for taking this decision - and it seems judging me at every step. She keeps telling me how a woman needs to continue to earn, not to give up on life, career, money - but she does not understand my life and her life are completely different. She is healthy, wealthy, with kids - i have none of the above. I am tired of talking to her - she does not see any joy in this decision, and seems is also wary of being more responsible towards my mother. She mentions that mother will live with her now - but it is practically not going to happen, we all know that. I do not know what to do? I do respect her, and i know her intentions are honest - but judging me and degrading our decision is too much. I just need to let it be - i mean, even if this decision is failure, it is my failure.

hello sir i am 17 year old girl i was a topper in class 10th after that i took dummy schooling plus online coaching in my 11th and 12th grade to prepare for neet but then i ruined my life completely by getting into social media and youtube addiction in 11th 1 used to spend 11hrs daily on social media my mental health was ruining i was having constant guilt and anxiety and then in 12th i did continued this routine until october my mental health was completely disturbed i dont have any friends i cant focus on studies my attention span is very bad i cant concentrate on my studies. i feel very bad for my parents they have told me to focus on my board and now my screen time is 3-4 hrs .i am trying to quit social media i have deleted instagram i cant delete youtube because i have to study but i cant study because of procastination now my boards are going on and i have completely ruined myself i dont think that i will be able to score more than 75 % in 12th .i scored 92 % in 10th .i feel bad for my parents they have very high expectation . i am loosing my mind day by day i dont know what to do .i am filled with all the negative thoughts .i have tried quitting social media or say dopamine detox but i have failed many times 13 -17 times .i cant fulfill my own promise which i made to myself .what should i do now?

Forget about NEET for now. Even if you feel unprepared, showing up and giving your best effort is non-negotiable. No excuses. Procrastination isn’t about motivation - it’s about discipline. Set a strict, no-negotiation study schedule. 50-minute study sessions, 10-minute breaks. Keep your phone away while studying. You say you can’t delete YouTube, fine. But are you willing to use it only for study-related content, with no loopholes? Your parents’ expectations are there, but for a moment, shift the focus—what does success look like for you? Hi sir/madam I wanna ask that i have already a capital gain account for rs 30 lac Whose 2 years going to complete in feb 2026 Now i have just 2 flat left- ist floor, 2nd floor with tarace Now 3 different- different person want to buy ist, 2nd and terace, means 3 registry will made, now approxy it will generate 10 lac per floor capital gain after indexation... Meqns total 30 lac So this 30 lac+ capital gain account 30 lac.. A total of 60 lac can i invest in 1 residentiql flat... Is it possible that i will invest in one flat against sale of 3 flat + capiral gain account amount... Thanks
Ans: Yes, you can invest the total Rs 60 lakh in a single residential flat to claim capital gains exemption under Section 54 of the Income Tax Act. However, there are a few conditions you must follow:

Key Conditions for Claiming Exemption
The new property must be a residential house. It should not be commercial or under construction beyond the allowed timeline.

The investment should be within the allowed time frame. You must buy the new flat within 2 years from the date of sale or construct it within 3 years.

You can use the amount from multiple sales. Even if you sell different floors of your property to different buyers, you can reinvest the total capital gain in one residential flat.

The capital gains account balance should be used within the allowed period. You must invest the Rs 30 lakh in the new house before February 2026. Otherwise, it will become taxable.

Important Considerations
If the new property costs less than Rs 60 lakh, the unused capital gain will be taxed.

The exemption applies only to long-term capital gains. If any portion of your gain is short-term, it will not qualify for exemption.

You must not sell the new property for at least 3 years. If you sell it before 3 years, the exemption will be reversed, and you must pay tax on the gains.
