Ans: Look at different options before you finalise on Manual Testing. Advent of technology in different fields have brought in many career options. See if there is any relevant to the work you have been doing so that you can leverage on your experience. No point switching a job and starting from scratch in area that may not grow in the future.

But since you did the recovery work in Finance sector you are totally detached from Mechanical Engineering. So it is not possible to say what kind of job you will get and what will be your salary.
