Dr Dipankar Dutta is an associate professor in the computer science and engineering department at the University Institute of Technology, the University of Burdwan, West Bengal.
He has 27 years of experience and his interests include AI, data science, machine learning, pattern recognition, deep learning and evolutionary computation.
Aside from his responsibilities at the college, he also delivers lectures and conducts webinars.
Dr Dipankar has published 25 papers in international journals, written book chapters, attended conferences, served as a board observer for WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) exams and as a counsellor for engineering college admissions in West Bengal. He helps students choose the right college and stream for undergraduate, masters and PhD programmes.

Which college is better thaparv or iet for computer

Ans: Thapar is clearly the better option for Computer Science if you prioritize higher placements, a national reputation, and better infrastructure. IET can be a good choice if you’re looking for a more affordable public institution with decent regional opportunities.

Sir i am 41 years old. Time horizon is 20 years. Investing 2000 rupees each in four flexicap funds- parag parikh, hdfc, franklin templeton, canara robeco. And one elss- SBI long term equity. Do i need to add or remove some funds to have the right mix of value, growth, momentum style of investing and to reduce overlap. I am in the beginning phase of my investment and can make changes. If required, kindly suggest the changes i need to make.

Ans: Hello;

If ELSS is required for availing 80 C benefit then it's okay. But then you may limit the the monthly sip into this scheme at 12.5 K per month(1.5 L pa)

Split 50 K equally for monthly sip between a
Flexicap(PPFAS flexicap) and a Large and Midcap fund(Kotak Emerging Opportunities Fund).

Allocate 20 K to HDFC Mid-Cap opportunities fund.

Allocate balance 17.5 K into Nippon India Small cap fund.

For a 20 year horizon this is my suggestion.

HI, I am 35 years only and my monthly income is 3 lacs. I have a corpus of 1 cr. Of mutual funds. I have been investing from last 7 yrs. Now I have reached to a monthly SIP of 2 lacs. I want to retire in the age of 45, please advise can build a corpus of 7 cr in 10 yrs and how can I build that. Also, recently I have purchased a house of 1.3 Cr and paid 30% from my saving. I will have emi's starting in next 3 years. Should I take loan or should I put more money from my corpus to reduce the total emi. Please advise.

Ans: Hello;

My suggestion is instead of taking more home loan you should utilize your corpus for home finance requirement so as to reduce total EMI.

A monthly SIP of 2 L will yield you a corpus of 8.16 Cr in 13 years time frame.(A modest return of 13% is from pure equity funds is assumed).

If you are keen to achieve your target in 10 years then the current monthly SIP needs to be topped up by 13% minimum each year to reach 8 Cr in 10 years.

I am assuming you utilise the existing 1 Cr corpus towards loan prepayment/reduction hence target calculation done for 8 Cr instead of 7 Cr.
