Sir I have took 1st drop and doesnot able to clear jee then I took partial drop by joining in state college and achieved jee maiins with 99.25% percentile and got seat in nit nagpur now shall I continue my btech in state college or leave the college and go for nit nagpur and the gap years will be two. Will this 2 year gap will effect placements or not? Sir suggest me what to do ? And another one of my frnd is also in same situation but he got nit warangal cse after one drop and 2nd is partial drop please give answer for these two questions sir?

Ans: Manoj, you have not mentioned the name of State College & the stream you joined. If the State College is reputed with good placement records, better to continue with it. You have correctly raised a doubt that a 2-year gap might affect placements, as some companies (NOT all) do not prefer those students, which I came to know from some BTech Students.

If you are performing well currently and confident over placements in your 4th year, it is better to continue there. Keep upgrading your skills & have a good/professional looking LinkedIn Profile/update it. All the BEST for Your Bright Future.

Gurunanak Hyderabad and the branch is csc but i dont know about the placements I think the placements are not bad and not good
Ans: Gurunanak-Hyderbad has a placement record of approximately 75%, which is not bad. Second, according to a recent report/article in 'The Times of India', approximately 30% of IIT students could not get placed last year. There are several factors, including the stream, the number of core companies visited, the student's level of academic performance, a lack of certifications or skill upgrades, a lack of co/extracurricular activities, and so on.

You can be one of the 75% placements in Gurunanak if you consistently maintain good academic performance/SGPA/CGPA (as you have scored 99.25% in JEE, which is not very easy, this will not be a problem), upgrade your skills through NPTEL, Coursera, LinkedIn, Internshala, etc., and/or recommended by your CS Department's faculties. Participate in co-/extracurricular activities, continue to investigate job market trends on LinkedIn and other job portals, complete internships, and prepare thoroughly for college recruitment; landing a job on or off campus will not be an issue for you.

Money
Dear Sir, I have another question: I have been investing in the Bajaj Allianz Life Goal Assurance Plan for the past five years, which is a combination of insurance and investment. The total premium payment duration is 10 years, with a SIP of ?10,000 per month, followed by a lock-in period of an additional 5 years So far, my monthly contributions of ?10,000 have grown to ?9.40 lakhs, with an approximate CAGR of 16%, although the insurance coverage remains at ?12 lakhs. Initially, I did not have much knowledge but continued investing due to the plan’s market-linked structure. For the first five years, my funds were allocated to Pure Stock II and Equity Growth funds basically large-cap. Recently, mid-cap and small-cap index funds were also added to their portfolio. Now that I’ve completed 5 years of investing in large-cap components, I am considering allocating the remaining 5 years to mid-cap and small-cap funds, without increasing the SIP. This would be done through a fund switch from large-cap to mid-cap and small-cap or by dividing the allocation equally—25% each across pure-stock, equity growth, mid-cap, and small-cap funds. Would you recommend this strategy while allowing the large-cap corpurs from the first 5 years to grow at their own pace and remaining 5 years switched into mid-cap/small-cap. Since the policy will mature in 2034, this gives me ample time for the investment to grow, allowing the corpus to build significantly over the remaining years
Ans: Since you are looking for 10 year time horizon, I recommend you divide the allocation equally(25%) across pure stock, equity growth, midcap index and small cap quality index funds.
