I have a 2-year gap after dropping JEE. Will it affect placements at NIT Warangal?

Sir I have took a drop but wouldn’t able to clear jee then i joined a state level gurunanak college and prepared for jee and cracked jee mains with 99.8 and i got seat in nit warangal cse but the problem is the two years gap effect placements in nit warangal? Or not ? Please clarify sir. Should i go for nit warangal or be in the state gurunanak institute of technology college please give me clarity sir

Ans: Varun, depends upon some important factors (1) Reputation of the College. As far as NIT-W is concerned, no issue (2) Perception of the Recruiters/Companies some of which might think that you could not face the academic pressure. However, this can be overcome by your academic performance in NIT-W with additional skills/certifications/upgradation & (3) Policies of Some traditional companies and / or its strict HR Policy. Sir please tell me that should I go for nit warangal cseor not and will 2 years gap effect placements or not in nit warangal

Ans: You can, however, please keep in mind the Point No.2. Have Plan B for off-campus job also.

Sir in your opinion which is better to continue 1) joining nit warangal 2) continuing in state level college.If i go for nit warangal am i not eligible for campus placement and can i get packages like 20 to 40 lpa in nit warangal with decent study in nitw in on campus placement

Ans: Join NIT-W. Packages depend upon your Background after 4-years and also the recruiter who considers you for the job.

Your dream was to crack the JEE with a high percentile and get a seat either at IIT or NIT. You have achieved it by cracking JEE with 99.25 %tile. If this was not your passion, then you might have continued in state-level college.
With great efforts, you cracked JEE and secured a seat in NIT Nagpur. Forget about your 2 years loss (state-level college). With a big mindset and for a better future, continue with NIT Nagpur.

Ans: Manoj, you have not mentioned the name of State College & the stream you joined. If the State College is reputed with good placement records, better to continue with it. You have correctly raised a doubt that a 2-year gap might affect placements, as some companies (NOT all) do not prefer those students, which I came to know from some BTech Students.

If you are performing well currently and confident over placements in your 4th year, it is better to continue there. Keep upgrading your skills & have a good/professional looking LinkedIn Profile/update it. All the BEST for Your Bright Future.

Hi sir,I have completed my 12 in 2022 and I haven’t clear jee then I decided to take a drop and even I have not cleared it in 2023 also.At that time I was in full of depression and decided to take a partial drop by joining in state college.In the year 2024 I have cleared it with 99.25 percentile and got seat in nit nagpur(cse).But now I am in big diloma to join nit nagpur or not.... because the gap years will be two.The question is will the 2 years gap effect placements? Sir please guide me to join nit nagpur or continue btech in state college.

Looking for some advice I am 36 yr old and working class with Sal of 32 lakhs per annum Current savings are 33 lakhs in PPF / PF and Gratuity 3 lakhs in Shares and Mutual Fund 10 lakhs in Physical Gold 20 lakhs in Cash Liabilities Home loan outstanding 30 lakhs I wish to retire with corpus of 5cr and at age of 50 What do you think should change in my current portfolio

Ans: Hello;

You may begin a monthly sip of 80 K into a combination of pure equity mutual funds and continue for 14 years.

At 50, your sip may yield you a corpus of around 3.5 Cr.

The PF corpus will grow over 14 years into a sum of around 1 Cr. No additional contributions are assumed, which may be deemed as surplus.

The gold holding if liquidated and invested in equity mutual funds as lumpsum will yield a corpus of around 0.5 Cr after 14 years.

If you do not wish to liquidate gold holdings then the monthly sip may be hiked to 90 K.

The gold holding will grow in value to around 0.25 Cr over 14 years and 90 K sip will yield corpus of 3.75 Cr+.

Considering both scenarios you achieve your target of 5 Cr in 14 years:

80 K sip-3.5 Cr in 14 years
Pf value-1.0 Cr in 14 years
Gold holdings converted to equity MF holdings: 0.5 Cr in 14 years
Grand Total -5.00 Cr

90 K sip- 3.75 Cr+ in 14 years
Pf Value- 1.00 Cr in 14 years
Gold Value- 0.25 Cr in 14 years
Grand Total -5.00 Cr+

Pure equity MF returns assumed at 12%, PF at 8% and Gold return at 7%.

I would advise to repeat usg after one week because have need to wait till 7 weeks
Normally heart beats appear till 7 weeks of pregnancy

Ans: Great question. Why 42. You will start earning from 2025 only. Just go for some certification course of DATA SCIENCE which will include AI cum Machine Learning. Since you are an engineer this course won't be a problem for you. Just before joining the course for 1-2 months see the YOU TUBE videos about coding. Never it is too late. Ans: If the financial condition permits let her go for MS from a reputed university of USA. She needs good GRE SCORE, TOEFL score around 105-110, three good recommendations from her professor, a sloid SOP (statement of purpose) and approximately a funding between 80 lakhs to 1 crore. Hi sir, This is Naresh. I'm completed my diploma in civil engineering in 2016. After that I started my career as a structural cad engineer. Since 7 years I'm working as a professional engineer. I'm married. But actual my goal is in want become a structural design engineer. I stuck in my career. My salary also not growing as per the market. How can I get my degree in civil engineering field. And also I'm unable to quite my job. I want to grow in my career.Please guide me

Ans: Unless you go for BE (Civil) and M.Tech Structures you can't be an officially recognized Structural Engineer. But the present condition won't allow you to do BE (Civil) and M.Tech (Structures) by leaving you job and you are married too. So I would suggest you to appear for the AMIE exam. It is hard, but at least the scope is there. After completing AMIE you will be equivalent to BE ( Civil). After that even if you don't go for M.Tech it will not create any problem.
