I am stuck with APS certificate and VPD process. I am any IB student and just cleared my IBDP. I have applied for German universities. I got my result on 6th July,2025 and most of all german universities applications deadline is 15th July. VPD process takes time. Though I process immediately it will reach later. Now universities are excluding my applications due to no VPD. What to do?

Ans: Hello,

First and foremost, thank you for getting in touch with us. Given that you received your IBDP results on 6th July and the application deadlines for the majority of universities in Germany were on 15th July, I understand that you are having problems with the VPD (Vorprüfungsdokumentation) delay. In such a circumstance, I would suggest that you immediately get in touch with the admissions offices of the universities you have applied to. You should explain your case properly and state that you are an IB student who has recently received his/her results and that you have already begun the VPD process via Uni-Assist. I would like to let you know that a number of universities are aware of these deadlines and may permit late submission of the VPD provided your main application was submitted within the required time frame. Ensure that all the other necessary documents have been submitted by you prior to the deadline, as well as provide evidence that you applied for the VPD—such as the confirmation email or receipt from Uni-Assist. Till the time the official VPD arrives, that may be temporarily accepted as proof by certain universities. On the contrary, you may have to consider applying for the following intake, viz., the winter semester if applicable, or might have to reapply for the following academic year with the VPD prepared ahead of time, if universities stick to the deadlines and late VPDs are not accepted. Moreover, keep in touch with Uni-Assist and if feasible, seek faster processing. Your best chance to retain your application is by acting immediately and remaining in contact with both Uni-Assist and the universities.
