Career

My son scored 40865 in JEE Mains under OBC NCL category and 1.25k AIR. currently qualified in AI and Machine Learning Chennai with 30400rank in VITEEE and we r enrolling in it . he would qualify for metallurgy in NIT trichy and EEE in NIT puducherry based on last year closing ranks.he might be lucky to get ECE in IITDM kanchipuram. should we consider these choices. as parents we think EEE and ECE has bright future too but hesitant comparing to CSE. like any other kid my son also wants to join cse. he will also tke BITS exam this month. please guide us through the important decision.

Ans: Hello Vidya.
Congratulations to your son for getting into AI+ML at VIT Chennai.
• Metallurgy is less popular but has good job prospects.
• Avoid pursuing EEE and ECE.
• Wait for the BITSAT results before making a final decision.
• If you and your son are interested in CSE, consider enrolling in a reputed private college.
• NIT is a prestigious option, but if metallurgy is not appealing, prioritize interest in CSE.
Conclusion: Make course decisions based on interests and job potential.
Best of luck to your son.
