My son scored 241 in bits and got 99.2 percentile in mhtcet (outside state quota). Prefrence wise what are the best options he might have? Pls advice colleges and in which stream he can get.

Ans: Though outside MH-State-Quota, give preference to get admission into any one of the top-3 colleges through MHTCET as your son has scored 99.2 percentile. Secondly, while filling the choices in BITS, please fill the streams on the basis of his preference, but CSE is difficult to get in any one of the all 3-BITS-Branches. But chances are there for Mechanical, ECE & E&I with any one of the 3-Branches. All the BEST for your Son's Bright Future.

Which college/ branch can i get through MHCET. What should be preferred- MH college or bits e&i/MSc 5 yrs course if i get? Sir...pls advice.

Ans: Almost all MSc Stream of BITS, you will get for 241-Marks. E&I, you might / might not get. Depends upon the Demand this year. Through MHCET, you can try for COEP, VJTI-Mumbai, SPIT-Mumbai, RCOEM-Nagpur, WCE-Sangali & MIT-WPU.

I am a 4th year BS-MS student majoring in Chemistry IISER Berhampur. I know everyone is aiming for phd after the completion of BS-MS degree. But I don't want to do my phd in india and being belong from a general category, I can't see a job vacancy for me India in future. If I will do phd then I want to go abroad, but if a won't get that then should I prepare for Gate and shift my career with don't M Tech in chemical engineering or any other department related to Chemistry? Can you please suggest

Ans: Going abroad for further education is a good option. If not then can change fields to MTech or can also look at career option in Management by doing MBA

Ans: He can try for better college. If he gets it can take it or can continue with VIT. But if he has no other admit at hand then VIT Bhopal as a bird in a hand is worth two in the bush

Hello Sir, My son has got CSBS at VIT AP. He is interested in doing MBA later. So Should we go ahead? Will VIT AP be a good choice?

Ans: If he is clear regarding doing MBA and that is his first priority, then let him not do Engineering as it is more difficult for Engineers to get into MBA college as compared to non engineers. If he is interested in Engg then can take it up.

Ans: BITS is known for Engineering, so would recommend Engg over Economics unless one is interested in Economics.
