I have a score of 105 in IAT , any possibility of Pune IISER in biotech or any bio related courses and in OC catogory

Ans: Prasanna, Based on your IAT score of 105 (OBC category), admission to IISER Pune’s Biology-related courses (BS-MS Biological Sciences) is unlikely, as the 2024 OBC cutoff closed at rank 938 in the last round, aligning with scores typically above 110–120 marks . However, newer IISERs like IISER Berhampur (2024 OBC cutoff: 1,634) and IISER Tirupati (2024 OBC cutoff: 2,318) are feasible options, with biological sciences programs offering similar curricula and research opportunities . For backup, consider state universities like Delhi University (BSc Honors Biology via CUET) or JNU (Integrated MSc Biotechnology), which have lower cutoffs and 60–80% placement rates in life sciences sectors. If open to interdisciplinary fields, IISER Bhopal’s Earth & Environmental Sciences (2024 OBC cutoff: 1,712) or NISER Bhubaneswar (via NEST) could be alternatives, though NEST registration has likely closed for 2025. Prioritize newer IISERs during counseling and apply to state universities as financial/academic safeguards. All the BEST for your Admission & a Prosperous Future!
