3rd Gen IITs for CSE: Good Option for Me?

As a career counsellor and mentor, he has been tutoring students from Classes I to XII (predominantly CBSE), UG (engineering) and others for nearly a decade.
He has worked as a lecturer and professor at the Kuppam Engineering College, Kuppam; the NRI Group of Institutions in Bhopal; and the Bhopal Institute of Technology and Science in Bhopal.
Parthiban qualified for GATE in 2002, 2011 and 2013 and has been training aspirants to prepare for NEET-UG and IIT-JEE.

Is it good to pursue cse in 3rd gen IITs?

Ans: OMG that's like questioning the working of GOI.
Even private institutions take some time to come to shape.
Funds may not be a problem for government funded institutions but since the development has to be systematic, it takes little time to complete the facilities.
If there is a green signal to run a course from an institution especially government institution, it means they have all the capability to run it.
So we can go ahead and start our studies there.
The hostels and other amenities take a bit of time which if we can accomodate then no issues.
But you can very well pursue CSE in the mentioned IITs.

Our preference is CSE Sir, but is IIT worth in terms of faculties, campus, internship and placements?

Ans: Please note, (1) IIT-Tirupati is not a Tier 1 IIT Category. (2) Success of your career does NOT depend only upon where you join, but also depends upon your self-motivation | dedication | upgrading your skills | extra-co-curricular activities | your professional Linkedin Profile | Your aptitude-attitude-personality traits. If you have these qualities, you can easily got job even off-campus (3) No College (including Top IITs) can be 100% perfect as far as Faculties, Campus. Internship & Placements are concerned except some very few colleges. Keeping in view these factors, you can confidently join IIT-T which also has good placement records. Hope I have clarified your doubt. All The BEST.

I was a jee aspirant.But I got 86 percentile.In Kcet I got 13083 rank.I want to get drop for jee how can I convience my parents.

My kind advice is to reconsider the idea of taking a drop year for JEE preparation. Very few aspirants find success during a drop year. Your KCET rank is quite decent. Based on that, you can secure a good college with a branch compromise. Enroll in UG and learn your preferred courses, either online or offline, as an extracurricular activity. The final decision will be yours.

Dear Sir, I have scored 17.5k rank in JEE Mains 2025 and 20k CRL in JEE Advanced 2025. I am a General Male student with no category Reservation. I am interested in studying CS and allied branches OR ECE Please suggest the best possible college at the given rank I have also scored 123 in ComedK expecting a rank of 500-600 allowing me to take specialization in RVCE CSE. Should i prefer that over the colleges available to me at my jee rank My homestate is Uttar Pradesh Also Should i Consider the option of dropping an year?

With the mentioned JEE scores, the chances of securing a CS seat via a free spot in a government college are very slim. It would be better to consider a private college through management quota. It is not feasible for us to list the names of colleges offering CSE across India. If COMDEK offers CSE at RVCE, you should prioritize RVCE as your first choice. Please do not consider taking a gap year.

Ans: Hello dear.
Chances are moderate and slim in GMC or semi-GMC. Try in private /deemed colleges via management quota if you aim only for MBBS, else explore other options.

Sir, My son has secured Jee Mains 2025 rank 34406 in general catagory. Which NIT and IIIT he may get CSE or AI/DS or ECE. Preference is to get at least a mid tier IIIT. Also, don't want to go for any NIT in NE states. Home State is UP.

It is not possible for us to predict the names of NITs or IIITs. However, your son has a strong chance of being admitted to one of the NITs or IIITs in your preferred branch. If you do not want to go to the NE states, fill out the options accordingly and eliminate the names of NITs and IIITs that you are not interested in.
