Sir , I was a PCB student and was preparing for NEET after 12. But I couldn't clear it up. Along with that, I took admission in a district or local college in BA English but didn't study anything of that course (BA English) as I was preparing for NEET during this year. Only passed BA ENG papers by learning PYQs one or two weeks before the exam. Now I am 21, and my third-year BA ENG paper will happen in two or three months. Now what should I do, as I have messed up my whole career? With this government exam, preparation can be done, but I am not interested in that. Now, what should I do? Either take a BBA course for graduation or prepare for the CAT exam in order to pursue an MBA.

Ans: You can prepare for CAT.

NEET, Medical, Pharmacy Careers - Answered on Apr 28, 2025

Hello sir .I attempted neet 3times in 2022 I scored 605,then 585 in 2023 then I joined bsc Life science and again prepared scored 652 in 2024 but due to scam everything messed up I was not attending my bsc classes from sem-2 which gave me a back .clg told me to re enroll as ex student but I thought to give neet once again.Intially I didn't knew that the spark has left I was tired .Now I don't have confidence though I am studying but I don't have that spark I used to have .What should I do sir plz help me out . My mother told me to prepare for some other government job exams if I didn't get selected this year .plz help
Ans: Hi Abilasha,

A score of 652 in NEET is no joke. Have you checked what went wrong in that exam? Analyzing your performance is essential.

I think you may not have had the moral support you needed, which is why you chose to pursue a BSc. It’s challenging to juggle multiple tasks, such as preparing for NEET while attending a regular course. Nowadays, there are many distractions like friends and social media, not to mention the plethora of advice and predictions from the media that can feel overwhelming. There isn't a one-size-fits-all solution; it varies from person to person. We humans are unique and shouldn't simply follow what others say.

Your goal is to become a physician, and that should be your main focus. I noticed that you didn’t mention which specialization you chose for your BSc. If you had selected subjects related to NEET—like Chemistry, Biology, and Physics—you could have focused on them without needing to study the same topics separately and could have dedicated more time to the other subjects.

In recent years, we have started to encounter these kinds of entrance exams and experiences, and we still need to go through exit exams.

So, don't let anything worry you. Focus on one task at a time and complete it. I believe you are capable of accomplishing your goal this year.

ALL THE BEST.

My son got 4400 rank in JEE Mains, 5100 in JEE Advanced. He got Chemical engineering in IIT Guwahati in Round 1 of JoSAA. He also got ECE in IIIT-Hyderabad. He is expecting to get CSE in IIT Tirupati or at the best to Chemical engineering in IIT Kharagpur in Round 6 of JoSAA. We are from Hyderabad.Which course/institute do we prefer now? To freeze which college/course in further rounds of JoSAA or to opt ECE in IIIT-Hyderabad? .
Ans: For a student from Hyderabad with JEE Main rank 4400 and JEE Advanced rank 5100, the main choices are Chemical Engineering at IIT Guwahati, ECE at IIIT Hyderabad, a likely chance at CSE in IIT Tirupati, and a possible Chemical seat at IIT Kharagpur. IIT Guwahati Chemical Engineering offers a strong placement rate (79%), average package of ?22.5 lakh, and broad core and non-core opportunities, with an IIT brand and robust campus life. IIIT Hyderabad ECE is among the best in India for tech placements, with a 98%+ placement rate, average package of ?21–29 lakh, and top recruiters like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon, plus a strong research ecosystem and Hyderabad location. IIT Tirupati CSE, if secured, provides a 73–77% placement rate and average package of ?20–25 lakh, but is a newer IIT with developing alumni and industry connections. IIT Kharagpur Chemical Engineering is highly respected, with an 83% placement rate and strong alumni network, but core placements are less lucrative than tech roles. The recommendation is to prefer ECE at IIIT Hyderabad for its unmatched placement outcomes, tech focus, and Hyderabad location, followed by CSE at IIT Tirupati (if allotted), then Chemical Engineering at IIT Guwahati or IIT Kharagpur, as IIIT Hyderabad ECE offers the best balance of career opportunities, industry exposure, and academic excellence among your current options. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Hi sir my son got ece in AMRITHA and 11000 rank in comedk. Which is better option weather to go with AMRITHA or comedk counselling
Ans: Sheela Madam, With an ECE seat already secured at Amrita (likely at a campus other than Coimbatore) and a COMEDK rank of 11,000, your son will not be able to get CSE or ECE in top Bengaluru colleges like RVCE, BMSCE, or MSRIT, as their CSE and ECE cutoffs are typically below 10,000. However, he has good chances for CSE or ECE in reputable mid-tier colleges such as BNMIT, JSS Academy of Technical Education, RNS Institute of Technology, and Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, where cutoffs for these branches often extend up to 12,000–17,000. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham offers strong academic quality, robust placement records (over 200 companies, average CTC ?9 lakh), and a national reputation, especially for ECE, with modern infrastructure and a research-driven environment. COMEDK colleges may offer a Bengaluru location advantage and strong peer interaction, but Amrita’s ECE program is generally considered superior in terms of brand value, research exposure, and placement consistency, especially outside the top COMEDK colleges. The recommendation is to proceed with Amrita ECE unless your son secures a CSE or ECE seat in a top-10 COMEDK college, as Amrita offers better long-term prospects in academics and placements compared to most options available at his current COMEDK rank. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Hello sir! I am Preetam, I secured 3468 rank in KCET, And I belong to category OBC-2AG, Comparing previous year cut offs, I may get CSE in top 5 Colleges except R V COLLEGE, I have visited both PES RR campus and MSRIT Campus, I am ready to take ECE in R V College. So I am in confusion in choosing CSE in PES RR campus or MSRIT Campus? Please anyone suggest me, which is better to choose?
Ans: Preetam, Between CSE at PES University RR Campus and CSE at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT), both are top-tier choices in Karnataka with strong academic reputations and excellent placement records. PES University RR Campus reported an 83% placement rate for BTech in 2023 with a large student intake and consistent recruiter interest, while MSRIT achieved a 95% placement rate, with CSE being the most sought-after branch and attracting the highest number of job offers from over 350 top recruiters, including Amazon, Google, and Microsoft. MSRIT’s CSE program is widely regarded as one of the best in the state, with a robust curriculum, experienced faculty, and strong industry connections, leading to high placement rates and competitive average packages. PES University’s CSE program is also highly respected, benefiting from its location in Bangalore’s tech hub and offering strong industry exposure, but recent placement rates have seen a slight dip compared to MSRIT. Both campuses offer modern infrastructure, research opportunities, and active student development programs, but MSRIT’s consistently higher placement rate and reputation for CSE give it a slight edge for students focused on computer science careers. The recommendation is to choose CSE at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology over PES University RR Campus, as MSRIT offers superior placement outcomes, industry acceptance, and long-term career prospects in computer science. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!
