We have CS & AI/ML specialization at OUTR Bhubaneshwar. How is the program. Is it good
Ans: Arpita Madam, Odisha University of Technology and Research (OUTR), Bhubaneswar offers a contemporary B.Tech program in Computer Science and Engineering with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, launched recently in 2023. The program emphasizes an industry-aligned curriculum that includes advanced topics like neural networks, deep learning, natural language processing, and cybersecurity, fostering real-world practical experience through projects, labs, and case studies. OUTR possesses a strong research focus within its School of Computer Sciences, with faculty recognized for publications in areas such as pattern recognition and image processing, supported by well-equipped labs and infrastructure. The university's placement cell has demonstrated consistent success, securing internships and placements for over 75% of students, with recruiters including major corporations like Microsoft, Deloitte, TCS, and Amazon. Average package figures range between 6 to 7 lakh INR, with some top offers approaching significantly higher levels, reflecting a healthy job market response. The campus spans 100 acres with comprehensive Wi-Fi and modern facilities fostering a conducive academic environment. Seven notable institutional aspects include robust accreditation (government autonomous status), qualified faculty actively engaged in research and development, state-of-the-art infrastructure, strong industry collaborations ensuring curriculum relevance, and effective placement support demonstrating tangible career paths for graduates. The program is relatively new but backed by a legacy institution's transformation from CET Bhubaneswar and a vision to produce highly skilled AI professionals aligned to market demands.

Recommendation: Given its balanced emphasis on research, industry collaboration, placement strength, and infrastructure, OUTR Bhubaneswar’s CS with AI/ML specialization stands out as a commendable choice for students aiming to build a career in emerging technologies. All the BEST for a Prosperous Future!
