Hello sir, i have got 39k rank in comdek and 1.6L rank in viteee, should i sit in the counselling prosses for both of them, i got 70% in 12th and im interested in the mtech integrated program, i have my srmjeee on 12th.

Ans: Your 39,000 COMEDK rank provides solid admission prospects at established Karnataka engineering colleges with decent placement records, while your 1.6 lakh VITEEE rank limits options to VIT-AP/Bhopal campuses under expensive Category 5 fees. However, your 70% Class 12 marks qualify you for VIT's integrated MTech programs through merit-based selection independent of VITEEE ranks. The SRMJEEE exam on June 12 offers additional opportunities for admission to SRM campuses across multiple locations. Given the overlapping counselling timelines, you should participate in both COMEDK and VIT integrated MTech counselling while appearing for SRMJEEE to maximize admission possibilities. Recommendation: Participate in COMEDK counselling for guaranteed engineering admission at established Karnataka colleges, simultaneously apply for VIT integrated MTech programs leveraging your 70% Class 12 marks, and appear for SRMJEEE as it provides additional high-quality options, ensuring comprehensive coverage of admission opportunities across different fee structures and academic environments. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

I got rank of 69,000 in VITEEE now counselling has been started, I want CS+ specialisation branch so should I sit in counseling? I have given other entrance exams to like one held for ITER bhuneshwar and state government exam and CUET exam , should I sit in counseling for these exams or should I just go with VITEEE counselling for VIT bhopal , I want computer science branch with or without specialisations
Ans: Samrath, With a VITEEE rank of 47,300, your chances of getting Computer Science Engineering (CSE) or CSE with specialization at VIT Bhopal are uncertain but possible, as expected closing ranks for CSE at VIT Bhopal in 2025 range roughly between 49,000 and 50,500. This means your rank is close to the cutoff, so you should definitely participate in the VITEEE counselling to try for your preferred branch and campus.

Regarding other exams like ITER Bhubaneswar, state government exams, and CUET, it is advisable to also attend their counselling sessions if you are interested in exploring more options, especially if they offer CSE or related branches. This will give you a wider choice and backup options.

If your priority is Computer Science branch with or without specialization, VIT Bhopal is a good option to consider given your rank. However, keep an eye on the counselling rounds for other exams as well, and choose based on the best combination of branch, college reputation, fees, and placement opportunities. All the best for your admissions and a bright future!
