Should I Join VIT Vellore or Wait for MH-CET with a 97 Score?

Sir, My son has got ECE at VIT Vellore. HIS MH-CET score is 97, Expecting he will same branch in good college. Should we go with MH-CET or join VIT vellore? Pl guide us.

Hello, my son has got Mtech seat at PES Bangalore for ECE (VLSI) and also at VIT Vellore ECE(intelligent communication system). Which one should we choose? Kindly advise

Ans: Go for ECE with PES. Just for information: please note, number of Employers / Recruiters will be less for Dual-Degree-holders, compared to 4-year-degree-holders. Whatever Institute / University & Branch your Son chooses, he should keep upgrading his skills from his 1st year itself till his Campus Placement during his last year, from LinkedIn, Coursera, NPTEL, Internshala etc. and / or any other online platforms, recommended by his College Faculties, to be COMPETENT among other Students.

Hi Sir, my daughter has got admission to VIT Vellore ECE. She has got 94.8 percentile in MHT CET. She is looking for ECE branch itself even through mhtcet. We are from Mumbai. Counseling for MHT CET has not yet started. What do you advise - we wait for MHT CET counseling or go ahead with vit ECE

Ans: Dear Parent, Many a times such situations do occur when you admit your child in one college and then another option pop up. As your daughter has already taken admission , which must have cost you huge sum as fees, Pl. think twice before bringing her back to Mumbai . As Counselling at MHT CET has yet not started , how long you can wait or take risk? Her percentile is excellent , she may get scholarship there also.

My son got admission in VIT vellore CSE AI ML .He got 98.5 Percentile in JEE Mains. He is more interested in ECE . He may get ECE in Hamirpur or like NIT or in iiit like kanchipuram in CSAB? Shall we continue with VIT or Shift to tier 2 nit or IIIT? Please suggest

sir, my rank in jee mains is 216444 can i get admission in any college through IPU and JAC delhi counselling i filled jee form with with gen but now i have ews certificate homestate haryana

Ans: Kiran, With a JEE Main rank of 216,444 in the General category (now EWS, Haryana domicile), admission through IPU and JAC Delhi counseling is unlikely for popular branches like CSE or ECE, as their last round closing ranks are below 60,000. Although the EWS category provides some relaxation, it is insufficient to cover the large rank gap. Admission to less competitive branches or private colleges through IPU might be possible but limited. JAC Delhi colleges also have much lower cutoff ranks, making admission difficult at your rank. To improve chances, consider state-level counseling in Haryana or other states, and explore private universities with higher cutoffs. Participation in CSAB special rounds is an option but offers limited scope at this rank. Overall, focus on alternative colleges and branches aligned with your rank and category to secure admission. With the mentioned score and category, you can get a seat in IIITs. It is better to participate in the Josa counseling process actively and fill out the options carefully. With the score 117, you can get descent college in WB. Pl participate in the state level counseling process for better options.

Sir, is ITER Bhubaneshwar good for pursuing CSE? Also should a candidate opt for specialization in AI-ML or just core CSE in ITER, only with reference to placement prospects

Ans: ITER Bhubaneswar is a reputable private institute with good infrastructure and decent placements in CSE, averaging ?4-6 LPA with top packages up to ?15 LPA. The institute has strong ties with IT companies, though placements mainly involve service-based firms. Sir i get jecrc amd srm ap ai ml and manipal bengaluru counselling left thapar chemical engineering and srm ktr is also provision but not want to go due to location as i am from haryana and jee percentile is 69 boards 77 cbse delhi domicile would i seat counsellings also jossa csab jac ipcet etc

Ans: Saksham, Prioritize Manipal Bengaluru if you can clear the cutoff and counseling.

Next best is SRM AP (AI & ML) for emerging tech focus and growing placements.

JECRC is a backup option.

Explore JoSAA/CSAB counseling for possible NIT or IIIT seats but chances are moderate.

Suggesting names of colleges across pan India is challenging to us on this platform and that too who provide the job placement with high package. Please google the names of such colleges.

Ans: Good to see your interest in a sunrise area with plenty of growth potential. I am unable to respond to your question on scope of Warangal and Rourkela unless I get the names of the institutions. Get hold of syllabus of the two institutions, look at their placement track record, 2024 NIRF ranking as first research step to your studies.
