Sir I got 82 percentile in Jee mains 2025 and did not qualify jee advanced. My sc category rank is 15k...Through Josaa counselling I will be able to get tier 3 nit's only...I am from Kerala and I don't prefer taking nit's which are in north India...Through Csab counselling I will get IIIT Kottayam in my home state. Should I go for it? Or should I take a full drop...I am planning to take partial drop and get into any 1st tier nit's next year..

Ans: Hello Devika
if you sure of improving your score and getting into IITs or Top NIts then go for repeat. Else Kottayam is a good choice.

Hello sir i am getting iiit nagpur in csab round with percentile of 97.4 or rank 38k I was thinking of talking partial drop and reappear jee 2026, sir can you tell me your opinion on this
Ans: IIIT Nagpur, with a CSAB percentile of 97.4 and a rank around 38,000, offers a competitive Computer Science program characterized by modern infrastructure, a 50-acre campus with state-of-the-art labs, and a well-stocked digital library. The faculty includes experienced members engaged in research and mentorship. Placement rates hover around 80%, with top recruiters like Cisco and TATA visiting, and average packages reflecting industry standards. However, the college is relatively new, so while it offers promising growth and industry connections, it may not yet have the established legacy of older IIITs. Considering partial dropping for JEE 2026 entails balancing current academic commitments alongside preparation, which limits focused study time and may increase stress, while a full drop provides undivided attention, better mental clarity, and a higher chance of improving JEE scores.

Recommendation: Accepting admission at IIIT Nagpur is advisable given its strong placement record, modern facilities, and growing academic reputation. Partial dropping for a year is challenging and may dilute preparation effectiveness. If aiming for a significantly better rank and college is a priority, a full dedicated drop is more beneficial. Otherwise, starting at IIIT Nagpur offers a valuable academic and professional foundation without the risks of a partial drop. All the BEST for a Prosperous Future!

I feel like a total failure even after completing MBBS from Madras Medical College, i am not getting any job of my choice, how do i get past this
Ans: Shocked to hear your concerns! It’s surprising that even after completing MBBS from a reputed institution like Madras Medical College, you’re facing difficulties in finding the right job. But remember, this is not failure. It’s just a transition phase where patience and flexibility are key. It’s natural to feel low when expectations don’t meet reality, yet this doesn’t diminish your achievement. Explore alternative opportunities such as internships, research roles, rural postings, or preparing for specialization through NEET-PG if you haven’t already. Many successful doctors began their journeys in challenging conditions, and their perseverance eventually brought recognition. Talking with seniors and mentors can provide valuable guidance, while sharing your feelings with friends can help you avoid loneliness and fatigue.

At the same time, don’t neglect your mental and emotional well-being. Connect with peers who’ve been through similar struggles. It will remind you that this phase is temporary. You can also build additional skills in communication, public health, research, or even health technology, which may open new career paths. Use this period to strengthen your CV with workshops, volunteering, or online certifications. Most importantly, be kind to yourself: completing MBBS is already a huge accomplishment, and setbacks don’t define your worth. Sometimes, stepping back to rest and reflect can bring the clarity and energy you need to move forward with confidence.

Good luck.
