can i give jee mains and advanced exam in 2026 if i wrote my class 12th exams firstly in 2024 but failed in them and again give class12th exam from nios board and scored 80% in between i had given jee mains in both the year 2024 and 2025 but didnt qualified for jee advanced in any year so can i write jee mains and advanced in 2026 and finally go to iit?

Ans: No, you can’t. You’ve already used your two allowed JEE Advanced attempts (2024 and 2025), so you can write JEE Main in 2026 but not JEE Advanced.

Suggestion: Focus on JEE (Mains) or state-level entrance tests for better prospects and a higher chance of securing a seat in a good engineering college. Getting admission in one of the top NITs is also equivalent to IIT.

Good luck.

but sir i hadn't passed my class 12th in 2024 my very first passing year of class 12th is 2025 so my jee advanced valid 2 year must be 2025 and 2026 right?? i failed in 3 exams in 2024 as i pass through a critical road excident i wasnt able to write exam so 2025 should be my 1st 12th year acc to josaa kyuki ma 1st time pass hi ab hua hu sir
Ans: You appeared for 12th grade in 2024 and failed, which counts as your first attempt. No matter whether you pass or fail, the attempt is counted. Hence, you were eligible to appear for JEE (Adv) only in 2024 and 2025. As I already said, focus only on JEE (Mains) now to get admission to one of the top NITs. The final decision will be yours.

sir kindly last time reply me , there is no such proof or anything cbse have that i was there student i appeared in 2025 as a fresh candidate , and secondly i contacted nta and i researched on chat gpt n reddit and quora and many other platforms everyone is sayng that i'll be eligible for advanced and mains both coz only first 12th passed attempt matters clearly written in brochure or 2025 advanced.
Ans: You appeared for the exam in 2024, and that record is already maintained by the CBSE. During the verification process, the automated system accurately retrieves all candidate details. Therefore, there is absolutely no scope for cheating or misleading the AI-based verification process.

My final suggestion: concentrate fully on JEE (Main) and aim for the highest possible score first. Once you perform well there, we can plan the next steps. Without appearing for JEE (Main), how can you even expect to qualify for JEE (Advanced)?

It is completely illogical to think only about JEE (Advanced) without a solid foundation. In fact, nearly 99% of students end up ruining their chances by focusing solely on Advanced. Therefore, I sincerely request you to stop this unnecessary discussion and channel all your efforts toward the first and second attempts of JEE (Main).

Best of luck.

Dear Sir, My son rank is 41000 in jee mains and DA-IICT has launched two BS - MS Dual program in IT and second in AI and Data science. What are chances to get this course ? What is the scope of this course? In can see now in job portals trend is changing and companies only ask for Bachelors/Master degree and need to focus on skills. Is it a good option?
Ans: Sachin Sir, At a CRL rank of 41,000, securing a seat in DA-IICT’s regular B.Tech programs is unlikely, as recent closing ranks for ICT, MnC, and VLSI are much higher. However, the institute’s newly launched 5-year BS–MS Dual Degree programs in IT and Data Science & AI offer a more realistic alternative. These programs admit students based on JEE Main Mathematics percentile or CUET scores, not overall CRL, and since 2026 is their first admission cycle, competition may be less intense.

This 5-year, 200-credit curriculum is ideal if your son is passionate about coding, AI, data science, cybersecurity, or research-oriented tech careers—provided the fee structure and longer commitment are manageable. It’s also wise to keep several reliable backup options rather than relying solely on DA-IICT.

Ultimately, success depends less on the degree and more on how your son invests his time: honing technical and communication skills, building a professional profile through projects/internships, networking with alumni and industry experts, maintaining visibility on platforms like LinkedIn, and developing emotional intelligence to confidently navigate his career path. All the BEST for Your Son's Prosperous Future!
