I gave my class 12th exam from cbse board in 2023. but I did not gave jee mains in 2023 and 2024 . Then I retak whole class 12th from bihar board and gave 12th exam in 2025. Subsequently I also gave jee mains in 2025. Now my question is will am I eligible for jee mains and advanced in 2026 ?

Ans: Pranav, Yes, you are eligible to appear for JEE Main and JEE Advanced in 2026 after repeating Class 12 from the Bihar board and passing in 2025, regardless of your earlier CBSE attempt in 2023. As per the official eligibility, candidates can attempt JEE Main for three consecutive years starting from the year of their latest qualifying exam, and only those who passed Class 12 in 2024, 2025, or are appearing in 2026 are eligible for JEE Main 2026. For JEE Advanced 2026, you must have passed Class 12 for the first time in 2025 or 2026 and be among the top 2,50,000 JEE Main qualifiers, with a maximum of two consecutive attempts allowed. Repeating Class 12 and appearing for the exam in 2025 resets your eligibility window, so you can validly apply for both JEE Main and Advanced in 2026, provided all other criteria are met. The recommendation is to ensure your 2025 marksheet and exam details are correctly entered during registration, as your 2023 CBSE attempt will not impact your eligibility for 2026 attempts. I am passed cbse class 12 in 2024 but compartment in maths passed because i have 6 subjects in 12th but not appear in jee mains 2024 I take drop for 2025 jee mains i have 97%ile in jan. attempt 2025 not appear in any board in 2025 because some reason but reappear in other board for class 12 in 2026 and take drop for 2026 so can i appear for both jee mains & advance or only mains 2026 please guide me sir

Ans: Hello Dear.
You passed Class 12 in 2024 (with 6 subjects and compartment in Maths), didn’t give JEE Main in 2024, gave it in 2025 (got 97%ile), and plan to reappear for Class 12 from another board in 2026. You can appear in JEE Main 2026 (and again in 2027 and 2028) if you give a fresh Class 12 attempt in 2026 from a recognized board. You can appear for JEE Advanced in 2026 and 2027 based on your new Class 12 attempt in 2026. Just make sure your 2026 board exam is a fresh attempt, not just an improvement.

You can attempt JEE (Mains) 3 times in 3 consecutive years after your Class 12 and You can attempt JEE (Adv) 2 times in 2 consecutive years.
Your Case:
Passed Class 12: 2024
Attempted JEE Mains in: 2024 and 2025
JEE Advanced eligibility:
You were eligible in 2024
You’re also eligible in 2025
But in 2026, you are not eligible for JEE Advanced, even if you qualify Mains

Sir, I have first appeared in class-XII board exam in 2024 than in suplymentey exam failed in Maths paper. Again re-appear in all papers in class-XII in 2025. I have not given Jee advanced in 2024 & 2025. Shall I eligible for Jee-advanced 2026. Kindly help & guide me. Thanks

Ans: You can apply for JEE Advanced 2026 if you meet certain eligibility criteria. You can apply for the exam twice in two consecutive years, and you must have first appeared in the Class XII board exam in either 2024 or 2025. You must also qualify for JEE Main 2026 and be among the top 2,50,000 candidates (changes every year). The year of first appearance in Class XII (2024) is considered for eligibility, not the reappearance year (2025). Both attempts are still available, and you must clear JEE Main 2026 with the required rank to be eligible for JEE Advanced. All The BEST.

Hello sir Sir i gave 12th cbse boards 2024 and i got compartment in maths subject, i gave the supplementary exam but cudnt clear it. Again in 2025 i appeared as private candidate in cbse boards all subjects and again got compartment in maths i gave the supplementary exam but still cudnt pass it. Now i am thinking to reappear in 2026 Also i gave jee mains in 2024 and didnt qualify for advance same in the year 2025 Now in 2026 will i be eligible for jee advanced ?

Ans: Hi
You can take B.Tech in Computer Science even after PCB + Artificial Intelligence, but the path is a little different because Mathematics is compulsory for regular B.Tech CS in most colleges. Clear Mathematics via NIOS (or CBSE Private) but it will not be possible at IITs, NITs, IIITs require Maths in regular 12th, so they remain closed.

You can appear 12th from the other board.

Ans: If UFM (unfair means) is recorded in a college exam, it can negatively affect your future exams only if it appears on official records or transcripts; otherwise, most competitive exams and other universities do not consider it. It is better to stay cool, calm, and quiet and focus on the course for which a student is preparing.

Sir, I passed my Class 12th in the 2023–24 session with very low marks because at that time I did not know about JEE. After that, for two years I worked in the finance field with my uncle. Later, due to my interest in engineering, I wanted to get admission to a good engineering college. That is when I came to know about IIT JEE 2026. When I checked the JEE eligibility criteria, I saw the 75% requirement, but because my health was not good during my board exams, my marks were very low. So, I am reappearing for Class 12th in the 2025–26 session. My question is: will I be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced?

Ans: No. You are not eligible for JEE (Adv). You have already used two attempts (i.e., 2024 and 2025), whether or not you appeared does not matter. Only two successive attempts are allowed for a candidate who clears the 12th grade in a particular year. You cleared your 12th grade in 2024.

Suggestion- Instead of running behind JEE exams, take admission to any good engineering college via a state-level engineering entrance test, which is easier than JEE.

I am a retired person 65 years. Sold a property . After paying LTCG tax , I will have 1.25 Cr to invest. Q1 - Should I pay LTCG tax and invest balance or avail 54c limit of 50 lakhs and invest balance. Q2- Pls suggest investment so that I get 1lakh per month.

Ans: For your question no. 1 please consult a tax consultant or a Chartered Accountant. Regarding earning Rs 1 L per month, you may need to contact a Certified Financial Planner and/or Certified Investment Adviser as at present it is not feasible to earn Rs 1 L per month on your proposed investment from the Fixed Income Instruments like Bank FDs. Therefore you need to plan and look for other investment options like Mutual Fund etc, however you should note that MF Investments are subject to market risks etc.

Ans: About your shifting the job, I am not the right person to guide you. However as you wish to retire after 8 years, it can be discussed with a certified financial planner after taking all the required input about your past investments, present status of such investments, your life goals and prospects of increase in your incomes going forward. Choosing a mutual fund will come after having completed that exercise. SBI & ICICI are definitely bigger mutual fund companies but there are around 45 MF companies at present in India.
