SO dear sir continuing the same question "Differnce between CE and CSE" which should i choose CE at Shri Vishwakarma Skill University or CSE At IKGPTU MOHALI

Ans: Ansh, Based on the following insights/information, your interests & long-term goals, choose the more suitable option for you: Computer Engineering at Shri Vishwakarma Skill University (SVSU), Haryana, is designed with an industry-integrated curriculum emphasizing practical, skill-based learning, offering hands-on experience in AI, data science, cybersecurity, and cloud computing. SVSU follows a dual-education model inspired by the German system, where students actively engage with industry partners through on-the-job training and real-world projects, enhancing employability. The university boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure and expert faculty, but being a newer state university, its placement outcomes are growing, with placement rates reported up to 81% and median salaries between ?1.9–2.2L in recent years, predominantly in regional and emerging IT sectors. IKGPTU Mohali, meanwhile, provides a traditional B.Tech CSE program with dedicated specializations and larger intakes, supported by well-qualified faculty, ICT-enabled classrooms, and strong academic-industry linkages in Punjab’s prominent IT hub. Placement records at IKGPTU Mohali indicate 44% placement for B.Tech 2023 graduates and a median package of ?5L, with recruiters like TCS, Infosys, and HDFC Bank regularly conducting drives. The Mohali campus is centrally located with robust infrastructure, reputed alumni, and career support through joint campus placement drives and specialized training programs.

CSE at IKGPTU Mohali is the preferred option for its higher placement rate, better industry connectivity, advanced infrastructure, and stronger reputation within the IT sector, making it a more reliable pathway to robust career opportunities in computer science compared to SVSU Computer Engineering. All the BEST for a Prosperous Future!

Dear sir I am getting Ce in Shri Vishwakarma skill university how it's different from cse in ikgptu mohali or any other colleges want to know it detail pls help
Ans: Ansh, You have NOT mentioned your scores in Engineering Entrance Exams. Anyway, please note, Shri ishwakarma Skill University’s B.Tech. in Computer Engineering emphasizes an earn-while-you-learn model with industry-aligned practical training, AICTE approval, state-of-the-art computing and networking labs, outcome-based curriculum co-designed with leading firms, faculty drawn from both academia and industry, and robust placement support through its dedicated career services, achieving a placement rate above 85% over the last three years. In contrast, I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University’s B.Tech. CSE integrates theoretical foundations with electives in AI, data science, cloud computing and cybersecurity, offers NAAC ‘A’ grade accreditation, well-qualified faculty with research credentials, modern software development and cyber labs, and a placement cell that reports an average CSE placement rate of around 80%. Both institutions hold strong industry ties and specialized facilities, but SVSU’s skill-based pedagogy, government-backed autonomous status, and higher recent placement percentage deliver enhanced hands-on readiness and employability.

Reputed private engineering colleges in Northern India offering CSE (excluding BITS, Amrita, VIT, Manipal, PES) with placement percentages over the past three years include Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala (83%); Chandigarh University, Mohali (>90%); Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar (~90%); University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun (>90%); and Chitkara University, Punjab (98%).

Recommendation
Shri Vishwakarma Skill University stands out for its innovative skill-based curriculum, higher placement consistency, and government-backed autonomy, making it more future-ready than I.K. Gujral PTU’s conventional CSE program. Among the top private colleges, Thapar’s established brand and strong core tech placements offer reliable outcomes, Chandigarh University’s >90% placement record reflects robust industry engagement, Lovely Professional University provides comprehensive training and high recruiter diversity, UPES ensures >90% placements with early internship avenues, and Chitkara’s remarkable 98% rate demonstrates exceptional employability integration, collectively empowering a well-rounded CSE education. All the BEST for a Prosperous Future!

Should I join it or look for other nits with not that much exposure?
Ans: HI AISHA,
GREETINGS FROM REDIFFGURUS!

You are expecting to have a good college life. However, I don't fully understand what constitutes a "good" or "bad" college experience. They don’t teach life skills in college; rather, it’s how you behave during this time that matters. If you act improperly, it could lead to negative consequences.

Studying in college can be compared to a train journey: having a first-class or second-class AC coach is certainly preferable. To secure a spot in a better coach, you need to achieve good grades in school. Your academic performance will determine your rank and, consequently, the programs or branches available to you. If you don’t meet the requirements, you might have to either retake exams or enroll in whatever core courses are open to you.

To increase your job employability, you can pursue additional online programs such as data science or cybersecurity. It seems you are more focused on Rourkela rather than the specific programs available. This suggests that you might just be looking to pass the time.

If you belong to ODISHA, then there are possibilities for Chemical (chances are more being from the home state).
Electrical/Electronics might be possible in special rounds. IS THIS OK FOR YOU?

So don't worry, do participate in the counselling process till you achieve your target.
