Dear sir, I have completed B.Tech mechanical engineering in 2019 with marks 59.72%, From Rajasthan technical University kota. But it is need 60% plus percentage for many competitive exam as per minimum educational qualification. Kindly suggest, Now how can I get 60+percent. Any procedure. I am a 15 years experienced working professional in MNC company from 2010 after Diploma in mechanical engineering.

Ans: Dear, you completed a Diploma in 2010, and it took 9 years to complete B.Tech. The question is unclear as to why it took so much time. You are mentioning your 15 years of working experience, i.e., from 2010 to 2025. The question is again unclear, whether you have completed B.Tech in regular mode or distance/part-time mode?

Yet, here is my reply to your question- Since you have already completed your B.Tech with 59.72%, there is no official procedure to increase or re-evaluate marks once the degree is awarded, as universities generally do not allow improvement exams for passed candidates. For competitive exams that strictly require 60% or above in graduation, eligibility cannot be bypassed. However, you may explore exams or opportunities where the requirement is only "pass in graduation" or where work experience is valued more than marks. Another option is to pursue higher studies (like M.Tech, MBA, or PG diploma), where the eligibility is based on graduation completion, not percentage, and then use your postgraduate qualification for further opportunities. Your 15 years of industry experience in MNCs is also a strong advantage and may open doors in professional certifications, executive programs, or lateral entry opportunities that do not focus on graduation percentage.

Good luck.

My daughter failed in class 9th and now she has enrolled in NIOS secondary . There is lot of free time . What can she do keep herself busy?
Ans: Before I answer your question, Vikas Sir, I want to ensure that your daughter doesn't spend more than 45 minutes a day on her phone or other electronic devices. If your daughter becomes addicted, she risks eye strain, headaches from blue light, poor posture, weight gain from inactivity, sleep issues from late-night use, and eating problems. It can also hurt her mind by making her depressed and anxious (27% more likely), making it difficult to concentrate and study, making her feel lonely and isolated from less real interaction, making her feel low self-esteem from comparison traps, and making her stressed and irritable from dopamine crashes.

Even if both parents work, keep communication open to boost her confidence—know what she loves. She should study 4-5 hours daily using NIOS books/SWAYAM and Class 10 mocks with the Pomodoro technique (25-30 mins study, 5-10 mins break) to stay focused. Add 30 minutes of skills like coding/typing or Duolingo English if interested, plus 10 minutes of yoga, hobbies (gardening/cooking/drawing/poems), and walks/cycling for fitness and fun. Finally, join NIOS WhatsApp groups for doubts and help at home and track weekly goals with rewards. Don't force anything—let her choose what excites her most! All the BEST for Your Daughter's Prosperous Future!
