Sir, my son is in last year of bsc chemistry, now he wanted to change his stream from bsc chemistry to IT. For that he plan to pursue certificate course at IIT mandi in minor computer science, then certificate course in cloud computing at IIT. Will this certificate course will help him to get the good job in IT sector? Or is there any other way to enter into IT sector for non IT background student?

Ans: Good question. Yes, this certificate course will definitely help him to get a good job in IT sector. One more certificate course is must. That is for AI and ML. He will surely succeed. Only B. Good evening sir. My son is completing bsc chemistry this year. Now he wants to change his stream from bsc chemistry to IT. He has plan to pursue certificate course in minor in computer science at IIT mandi and then certificate course in cloud computing at IIT... Is it possible to get the good job in IT sector with above certificate course. Or is there any other way to enter into IT sector from non IT background student?

Ans: Yes. It is possible. But this era is for AI & Machine Learning. Please see that the syllabus covers both AI & ML. Secondly since he doesn't have a background of IT let him practise all the required things which will be prerequisite for the course from YOU TUBE VIDEOS and online free materials from net. Before joining the course he must practise them for three months at least six hours per day. It will help him to complete the course very successfully. Best of luck to your son. Just follow me. Ans: He will not get a good job just by doing some certificate program. Many universities are now floating masters programs for non it background students. Like Upgrad, IIT Madras, BITS Pilany etc. He should do those programs
