Hi Sir,My brother is in class 8 CBSE and i am currently entering to college(just finished 12th grade) science stream,i found science really hard.Though,i took it with pure interest of the subjects i struggled throughout11th and 12th .My brother is also interested in doing engineering (Autombile,Electronics) .I have never been academically pushed because of my health conditions in my high school so my parents gave me top priority to health however my academics was not upto the mark even when they provided what i need though many people ace it through .Now,i want to prepare my brother through this journey at the best after having seen people prepare for jee , neet right from 9th itselIf.He is very good at maths and scence however he struggles language and social science.I want to whether a integrated school ould be best for him or online jee coaching programs like vedantu OR awitching to tamilnadu state board be agood option(we can get into good tier 2 colleges like Anna university, SSN,CEG,SRM Affiliated to anna uni).In general we both study well when we are pushed to.Also, what is the right way to convince my mom.She thinks all this(JEE preparation) wont workout after seeing me misserable in 11th and 12th.Sir but i have promised or rather given a word i will workhard .I dont want him to end up in a Tier 2,3 college like me.I am caught amidst hopes and dreams , responsibilities.

Ans: Hello dear.
In your case, you and your brother needs one to one counseling. Please search a good counselor in your area and interact with him/her in person. Considering lot of complexity in the question, it is not possible for us to satisfy properly. Hence one to one interaction is recommended to you.
Best of luck.

Hi Sir, My son studies in 8th grade in an IGCSE board school in Mumbai. He is keen to pursue Engineering and crack JEE exams. I want him to start preparing for it early and already motivating him to study syllabus of CBSE Maths not covered in IGCSE. He shows great excitement in the same and does it willingly. I shall also do the same for Science. My queries are as below. What do I do after his 10th boards? Should I ask him pursue AS and A boards or enrol him to an academy for an integrated study of 11th and 12th + JEE? I am keen to have private tutors for JEE studies. Will this be better than academy coaching? Should I enrol him in a Junior college for 11th and 12th and also ask him to prepare for JEE simultaneously? Thanks, Mehul
Ans: Hello Mehul. Your son is in 8th std. It is good to hear that he is doing good in his studies that too willingly. As he is in 8th std, it would be better to join him for 3 years Foundation Course for IIT-JEE (8th + 9th + 10th). Search these coaching institutes near by you if possible. Else you can purchase the excellent material provided by Matrushri Institute, Hyderabad. The material provided by this institute is excellent. Purchase the material, and search private tutors to complete the syllabus. After completing this course, Your son will be quite comfortable to face JEE syllabus. You decide about the JEE coaching institute only after his 10th examination. You better enroll his name In a Jr. College and then join best coaching center available near by your home.

Ans: Mehul Sir,

Thoroughly read your question Sir. Here-below are some Options / Important Suggestions & Why?:

Option-1

After he finishes his 8th Standard, you can get admission for him into any CBSE-School (or) Maharashtra State Board School which also has an integrated Program.

As far as I know, there are very less number of CBSE Schools. If you can get into any CBSE School, well and good.

If he joins any State Board Integrated School from the 9th itself, it is highly recommended to thoroughly go through the NCERT Books of 9th to 12th Standards which is most important for JEE preparation.

It is preferable to start early for JEE (from 9th standard to cover NCERT basic concepts), but not mandatory.

Option-2

If you decide NOT to discontinue from IGCSE till 10th standard, you will have to put him in any JEE-Integrated School for 11th/12th Standard.

However, it is advisable to go through the NCERT books of 9th/10th, whenever time permits for your son as the quantity of subjects/syllabus of IGCSE will be more, compared to CBSE.

Option-3

As you prefer Home Tutors, please note, highly experienced Home Tutors (especially for JEE-Advanced preparation) charge on hourly-basis and depending upon the subject (for example, tuition fee for Maths will be higher, compared to Physics & Chemistry).

Please choose the best option, suitable for you/for your son out of the above 3-options.

Some other value-added tips:

1) Please give more importance to Maths, followed by Physics, as JEE Rank is allotted on the basis of highest marks in Maths.
2) If you prefer an Integrated Program, make sure the School/Integrated Class is not too far from your home. Travel consumes/wastes lot of your valuable time.
3) For other PRACTICAL Strategies / Steps / Tips, please go through some of my answers below, related to JEE preparation.

All the BEST for Your Son's Bright Future.

From Tamilnadu - My son (9th grader) is a creative person with deep interest in tech, electronics and music. From his young age, I see him scribbling designs of various machines, it started with car designs, then robo design, laptop and now he develops good electronic projects based on Arduino. As far as competitive exams and problem solving skills are concerned he isn't natural but with practice he can do. He scores above 90% in cbse exams but I never asked to write any competitive as I felt it would pressure his creative side. Now, my question is should I put him through this competitive jee race or I opt for a Tamilnadu state board school where he has less complexity more rote learning and can get through within top 10 anna university based colleges just with his board cutoff. I am highly sceptical about jee- being a general category male student, it highly discourages me to take the gamble as it may affect his mental health. Also, after all the effort, there is a high chance that he may have to go to a deemed University based on management seats. Now my question is problem solving and competitive focus of jee and conceptual learning of cbse are going to help him anyway in the future in his workplace? I am afraid that he will lose his hobby and strength in the rat race. Kindly advice.
Ans: Admission through the TNEA counselling process at reputed TN colleges like Thiyagarajar and PSG can be challenging for CBSE students. I also noticed you haven't mentioned if he has joined a coaching centre for his JEE preparation. Regardless, my suggestion is to have him take a psychometric test as soon as possible. This test will help identify his strengths by assessing his aptitude, attitude, interests, orientation style, and personality traits, and guide him toward the most suitable career options.

Based on the psychometric test results, he should start applying for the relevant entrance exams or participate in counselling for fields like Architecture, Design, or other areas aligned with his strengths. Consider management quota only as a last resort and if it is financially feasible. Ultimately, success in any domain depends on continuously upgrading skills and maintaining a genuine interest in that field. All the Best for your Prosperous Future.

Relationship
Mam, I am in relationship with one girl since 2.5 year and my girlfriend told about our relationship to her mom. Every positive point of mine which told by my girlfriend to her mom but every point taken negetivly and denied to her.. Move on from relationship... Leave this relationship. He is not good boy.. The problem of her mother is the caste as well as I am Divorcee person and she is unmarried. We love to each other and want to marry. Due to her mother oppose, she is nervousness totally or told that she has no any idea what to do... How to do.. She is not sure she is convince to her family or not. She told that I don't know how much time she can servive to convince her family. Totally her mind felt like empty, dumb, nervousness. Her father not know about our relationship. When this type moment occurs she behave that sometime it is agree to make efforts for convince and sometime when she is nervousness that time she told that i can not convince and to do the breakup because she is not want to go against the her mom and family. But she told that also she want to marry with me. What should I do?
Ans: I am going with the assumption you both are adults who are thinking individuals. I am also assuming you are both financially independent.

Families, parents are important and it should be so. I understand parents apprehension, having said this, I do not get it why caste and relationship status as previously married takes precedence over compatibility. One should also realise that every relationship needs working upon by 2 people- there is no certainty if someone gets married within their caste or choice of parents/ family.

Coming to your issue there are 2 options

- she is open to take the step upsetting her parents and getting married to you

or

- she and you need to move on and move on in the true sense. which means no connection whatsoever, move out of each other's social media, block contact details and move on, heal yourself and find someone else.
