Sir I asked this on May 26th. Can you answer? Sir my son got 5438 rank in jee mains. He can get CSE in NIT nagpur. He can also get in III Bangalore. Which is better option? We are giving first priority to IIIT H. But getting in IIIT Hyderabad is in border. Not guaranteed. Please suggest

Ans: With a JEE Main rank of 5438, your son can likely get into a CSE program at NIT Nagpur and potentially also at IIIT Bangalore. Given the uncertainty with IIIT Hyderabad, IIIT Bangalore or NIT Nagpur would be more certain choices at this point. If getting into IIIT Hyderabad is truly a top priority, then waiting to see if he gets into IIIT Hyderabad during the counseling process may be worthwhile.

Ans: With a score of 95 (assuming this is out of 200, which is the usual maximum for MHT CET) and 53 percentile, it's unlikely you'll get into the top tier engineering colleges for Computer Science (CSE) in Maharashtra, like COEP or VJTI. However, you still have options for good private colleges via the CAP rounds or management quota.
