Sir, I've been trying very hard everyday. There is so much pressure because it's my 2nd attempt but still I'm getting around 45-60 marks which converts into 75-85 percentile after analysing the mocks. I see myself in 80s. I am making some silly mistakes by not picking up the correct question. I want to know what I should do to pick the right Qs. Will I be able to score 97-98 percentile?

Ans: While writing mocks, I would implore you all to not focus only on the scores

Instead focus your energy to

A. Attempt the test again at home and identify if the shortcoming in scores was due to Time pressure OR due to lack of preparation

B. Identify the strong and weak areas

C. Look at solutions and identify ways to improve your approach.

D. Tabulate all your data so that you can analyse the performance at one go

E. Try and finalize an approach for the next mock

try this and there is no reason not to hit 97/ 98 percentile

I have secured a 85.5 percentile and there is one of my friend who secured 89 percentile the only difference in our prepration was that he completed almost 90 percentage of syllabus and I had only completed only 40 percentage of syllabus so can it be at extreme difference and secondly he is taking a drop and he have completed the syllabus almost but I have not so if I take a drop will I get good result as he will if can so how because I have completed a very few portion of syllabus. And some time also doubt that how did even score 85 percentile in jee mains with only few portion of syllabus
Ans: Gautam, Please note, (1) scoring above 97-98 percentile (from 85.5) is not that much easy at the same time, NOT Impossible, if you plan for a Drop for Next Year. Some IMPORTANT Points You Please Keep in Mind: (2) You should definitely cover 100% Syllabus (3) There is no important / unimportant Chapters as far as JEE is concerned. (4) Avoid comparing yourself from others (5) Devise a good preparation strategy, for ILLUSTRATIVE examples (i) Give much importance to Maths & Physics, followed by Chemistry as JEE is Rank is allotted on the basis of highest score in Maths, then Physics & Chemistry which I hope you might be aware. (ii) Join any Coaching Centre, preferably nearby your home like ALLEN. But avoid FITJEE as the Study materials of FITJEE is much advanced. (iii) Giving more importance to Difficult / Complicated / Lengthy / Wrongly Answered Questions (iv) Keep practicing Online Test Series, provided by the Coaching Center and take notes of Wrongly Answered Questions to revise / refer time and again also before your JEE. All The BEST for your Bright Future, Gautam. I hope I have clarified your doubts. Dear Sir, My son rank is 41000 in jee mains and DA-IICT has launched two BS - MS Dual program in IT and second in AI and Data science. What are chances to get this course ? What is the scope of this course? In can see now in job portals trend is changing and companies only ask for Bachelors/Master degree and need to focus on skills. Is it a good option?
Ans: Sachin Sir, At a CRL rank of 41,000, securing a seat in DA-IICT’s regular B.Tech programs is unlikely, as recent closing ranks for ICT, MnC, and VLSI are much higher. However, the institute’s newly launched 5-year BS–MS Dual Degree programs in IT and Data Science & AI offer a more realistic alternative. These programs admit students based on JEE Main Mathematics percentile or CUET scores, not overall CRL, and since 2026 is their first admission cycle, competition may be less intense.

This 5-year, 200-credit curriculum is ideal if your son is passionate about coding, AI, data science, cybersecurity, or research-oriented tech careers—provided the fee structure and longer commitment are manageable. It’s also wise to keep several reliable backup options rather than relying solely on DA-IICT.

Ultimately, success depends less on the degree and more on how your son invests his time: honing technical and communication skills, building a professional profile through projects/internships, networking with alumni and industry experts, maintaining visibility on platforms like LinkedIn, and developing emotional intelligence to confidently navigate his career path. All the BEST for Your Son's Prosperous Future!
