If you plan to shift to a new domain, then you will have to take a salary cut . Having said that pls research about the role you want to be a part of . IT is a very vast space and there are many roles in the IT industry . Do research on those roles and pick the one that you feel that you will enjoy doing. Once you do this, then enrol for a course /certification program. Dont just look at the starting salary, the salary will increase with experience at a much faster pace.

Young parents need you and young children need you. See if you can have a career where these skills of yours can be put to great use, maybe a parenting coach, an expert in handling young children, you can have a place to conduct classes or you can start classes online.
