Please note, He cannot get EE/ECE at NIT Rourkela, as their Home State cutoffs close much higher (around 11k for ECE & 16k for EE). However, by participating in CSAB Special Rounds, he has strong chances for EE/ECE at northeast NITs (like NIT Mizoram, NIT Nagaland, or NIT Srinagar). Additionally, top GFTIs like BIT Mesra or IIIT Bhubaneswar remain excellent alternatives. Have 2-3 backups in and around Orissa like KIIT etc. instead of relying only on JoSAA/CSAB.
