Sir my son has secured cse cyber in vit vellore at cat 5 and he has got a rank of 20k in comedk and 28k rank in kcet which college is a better option for cse or ece in bangalore better than vit vellore?

Sir, my son has got a seat in vit cse cyber at cat 5 and has git kcet rank of 28k and comedk rank of 20k which college is the better option?
Ans: Prefer CSE @ VIT cat-5, if and only if higher fees are not a criterion for you. Suggesting you wait for KCET/COMEDK counselling. Your son may get a decent Karnataka college that may offer better value than VIT

Ans: Shiva Sir, With a 20k COMEDK rank and 28k KCET rank, your son has a low chance at top-3 Bangalore hubs (RVCE, BMSCE, MSRIT). However, his COMEDK rank safely fetches Core CSE or tech specialisations in very reputable mid-tier Bangalore colleges (like DSATM, Acharya Institute, Cambridge Institute, PES-Mandya, etc.), which provide excellent local coding exposure and tech placements. This is a far better path than spending a premium on VIT Category 5, unless he prioritizes the VIT campus tag over financial value. All the Best for Your Son's Prosperous Future!
