Hello sir.Just wanted to ask you a few questions as I am very much confused as to what should I choose.I qualified for jee advanced this year with 96.4 percentile but could not clear advanced.Based on jee mains I am getting ece in allahabad gfti JK university and lmnit jaipur cse.Also I am getting dual and 3+2 course in bits pilani with a score of 207 in BITSAT.I am getting CSE at viteee with a rank of 8302 and CSE at MIT manipal main campus with a rank of 163 .Also I am the topper of my school with 96 percent in class 12 boards this year.I am awaiting the results from NUS NTU HKU . Also I have got offer letters for CS BTech course from University of Manchester, Edinburgh, Warwick, Durham and Bristol.Also I am getting CSE at Shiv Nadar university and SRM University Chennai.It will be very kind of you to guide me as to what should I take.I belong from general category.
Ans: If your family can comfortably afford UK fees and living costs, choose The University of Manchester CS over LNMIIT, Manipal, VIT, SRM, Shiv Nadar, etc options. For other options, the preference order may be: NUS/NTU > BITS Pilani Dual > LNMIIT CSE > Manipal CSE. If you want a straightforward 4-year CSE path, LNMIIT CSE is the safest choice among your current confirmed Indian options. Don't work with lot of options, which creates a lot of confusion. First decide, do you want to study in abroad or in India? Once it is decided, rest of the options can be easily worked out as mentioned in my reply.

Sir please guide as to what can I get with 80 marks in jee advanced in general category boys and a rank of 57323 in jee mains (96.4 percentile).I have got a rank of 163 in manipal met exam and a rank of 8304 in viteee.Also I am getting CSE at Shiv Nadar university and SRM University Chennai.I am very much keen to study CS and coding.What should I choose
Ans: If you are serious about CS and coding, the preference order may be: CSE @ Manipal > CSE @ Shiv Nadar > CSE @ VIT > CSE @ SRM. With your JEE (Mains) score, you may get some lower IIITs/GFTIs and should definitely participate in JoSAA/CSAB. With the score of advances, there is no hope of getting either a top college or a branch.

Hello sir! My son got 96.4 percentile in jee mains this year and 80 marks in jee advanced in general category.What can be the possible options for him.He is keen to study CSE.Also he has got 187/240 in met, manipal entrance exam and a rank of 8302 in viteee this year.His is the science stream topper of his school with an excellent score of 95.4% in class 12 CBSE boards.Please guide which he should opt for CSE.We belong from jaipur rajasthan
Ans: Mridul Sir, For CSE priority, choose MIT Manipal CSE/CS-specialisation first, then VIT Vellore CSE/CS-specialisation at rank 8302 if affordable, then VIT Chennai CSE, then MUJ CSE as a Jaipur-near backup. Through JEE, a 96.4 percentile may give only lower IIIT/GFTI CSE in CSAB. An IIT is unlikely at 80 advanced marks. Please carefully review last year’s JoSAA Opening and Closing Rank data for your student's preferred institutes and branches. This will help you better understand admission trends, assess realistic possibilities, and confidently fill your choice list with a balanced mix of dream, realistic, and safe options. My son got 204 marks in BITSAT this year.What are the possible options for him related to CSE branch.please guide.Also his jee mains percentile is 96.4 and 80 marks in jee advanced in general category.He has already got core CSE at manipal main campus with a score of 187/240 and viteee with a rank of 8302. Also he is eligible for CSE at Shiv Nadar university and SRM University Chennai.He is the school topper in science stream with an excellent 95.4% . Please guide regarding the possible options for CSE.Which will be the best
Ans: If fees are manageable, MIT Manipal Main Campus CSE is currently the best and safest CSE option among the choices you've mentioned. Prefer SRM over most VIT options, and be uncertain about BITS dual-degree possibilities at 204 BITSAT marks. (Keep a close eye on the iteration process)
