I am 23 years old. I am in relationship from 8 years. I am Hindu brahmin and He is Sikh . so its inter-religion . my mother and brother accept my relationship. but my father is so conservative. wo kidhar aur rishta dekh rhe hai mera .and he is like usko bhi mar duga aur tumko bhi. but itte door aake i can't loose him. we seriously love each other. but bhagna bhi nahi chahte dono. what should I do ? how to convince my father?
Ans: You need not run…maybe just stand your ground and get married? Tell your father that if he loves and respects you, he has to respect your choices in life too. Even if it’s a mistake according to him, it is your mistake to make! You have the support of the rest of your family, maybe they should show it overtly so he knows he’s in the minority. And any threats to your life etc — if you feel the least bit like he will follow through on his threats of violence — lodge a police complaint. You are an adult and so is your partner — he cannot bully you like this.

Ans: Dear Kanak,
Convince nahin balki apne papa ko yeh ehsaas dilaane ki koshish karo ki is ladke mein tumhe kaunse gun nazar aate hain jise tum pyaar karne lagi.
You can't convince him but you can definitely try and make him experience your point of view.
