Hello Mayank, I am 40 year old a postgrad in Microbiology from Kanpur University and MBA from Annamalai university. I quit workking after marriage and children. Now wish to start working. I am interested in working from home and flexible working hours. Is Medical Coding and Billing a good choice as i am interested in health sector? Please help.

Ans: Medical Coding and Billing can be a good choice for you. You need to complete a certification course or diploma program in Medical Coding and Billing especially considering that you have a background of microbiology and MBA as well so it gives you a well rounded business view as well

Ans: You will have to try and reskill yourself. Do come courses in the area you want to build your career in. Before doing the courses ensure that there is demand for those skill in the industry. There are some institutes that could help you get a job once you complete the course. Can simultaneously look out for jobs through recruitment agency or job portals or through your network.

Hlo, I was a Neet aspirant I gave neet after 12 th but scored very low, after I took drop and gave neet again but still I didn't score good enough. After that I have joined for BSC degree in life sciences, my majors are biotechnology, chemistry, zoology. Currently iam in final year. At first I had plans to pursue msc. biotechnology.,then PhD And to become assistant professor. But I had known few who did medical coding and one of them did masters but decided to do medical coding. I was advised to pursue medical coding too. I was little confused what to do , what is best for me. IM also unsure how much does the payment vary from both? Is it good choice to go for medical coding or msc ? Pls help me

It is sad to hear that even after 2 attempts, you cannot score well in NEET.
But take a good decision to join B.Sc. in Life Sciences.
You are thinking in the right direction to go for a PG and then a PhD.
Being a professor is a good thought and this profession has a much more stable life than other fields.

These codes are used for billing purposes, insurance claims, and maintaining accurate medical records. Medical coding offers a stable career path with opportunities for advancement. You can go for medical coding but the payment criteria vary from institute to institute. It may range from 15 K to 30 K or on the higher side from 50 K to 70 K. There’s a high demand for medical coders in countries like the US, UAE, and Australia, offering higher salaries.
If you are not interested to shift to abroad for a job and want to stay in India only, then try to become a Professor rather than entertain in the medical coding field. First, you try to become a professor. Learn medical coding and then do two jobs simultaneously. First, teach the students and part-time, give your consultancy services in medical coding.

My son is tentatively getting ECE in MIT Manipal and CSE in Bangalore campus (as per rank predictor). Which one should be chosen. MIT score 130, 86 percent in PCM 10+2 and 92.6 percentile in JEE Mains 2025. His VIT rank is miserable. Any other suggestions would also be helpful.

Prefer CSE in Bangalore campus. Do not compromise your choice with the branch. First decide the branch then choose the college. Drop the idea of ECE as far as possible.

I have a rank of 154178 in jee mains, homestate jammu and kashmir, general female, kashmiri pandit, Which college can i get on this rank ( any nit,or any gfti). Should i prefer my homestate for btech or other states. ?

With the mentioned rank, chance are less to get a seat NIT but chances are there in GFTI. Yet keep hopes open for NITs. It would be better for you prefer Delhi state for more better choices.

Ans: Hello Dear.
If your indication is towards NITs, then sorry for that. Chances are there for IIITs and you have to compromise with the branch. But if you are particular about the branch like CSE then contact private engineering college.

Hi I'm 46 years and an entrepreneur for 20 years. I have hit a point now where I seem to have lost everything and seems like I'm at minus 1000 as I don't know what to do at the moment. Sir, my daughter has secured 96 percentile in JEE Main. She got admission in CSE from Thapar and VIT Vellore. She might get admission in Manipal as well. Would she get seats in NIT core branches? Should she choose any NIT any branch over these private colleges? Not very particular about CSE branch.

If you are not particular about CSE branch, then go with NIT core branches. But considering as a female candidate, think twice before going for core branches like Mechanical and Electrical. It would be better to go with CSE @ Manipal over other options considering expenses point of view.

You did not mention the home state. Exploring the colleges pan India is not advisable. You can search a better college for AI, ML in your home state easily either with the help of Google or by taking the help of any engineering student.
