I am a first year engineering student. I have studied in a boys' school for 5 years due to which I feel shy with girls. I have a crush in my class. About 2 months ago, I had sent a follow request to her, but she deleted. She avoids speaking with boys. But now as we have a team project, she is with me in my group so now she talks with me. Also till now she hasn't accepted a single follow request of any of the boys in our class. Whenever I need help in academics, she helps me genuinely. I want to see her more than a friend. What should I do? Should I now send her a follow request?

I know these are exciting years, and at this age, you are bound to feel attracted to people. However, it is also important to understand the meaning of boundaries and consent from a young age. If she has deleted your request, it only translates to one thing- she is not ready to let you into her inner circle. Some people are quite private about their social media. If she wanted you to be a part of it, she would add you herself. She sounds like a private person who likes to keep to herself. I would advise you to respect her boundaries. Speak to her as a friend. If there has to be something more than that, it will happen organically. Don't push it.

Less competitive branches in mid-tier NITs such as Raipur, Silchar, and Hamirpur may offer opportunities to secure admission in Chemical, Civil, or Mining Engineering.

There are good chances of obtaining core branches like Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering in newer NITs such as NIT Mizoram, NIT Nagaland, NIT Sikkim, and NIT Srinagar, as well as in newer IIITs like Manipur, Dharwad, and Agartala.

Regarding GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes), core engineering programs are available at BIT Mesra and IIEST Shibpur. In Silchar and CU, programs like Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) are accessible. Additionally, in lower-tier GFTIs such as Srinagar, PEC Chandigarh, and SPA, there are opportunities to secure admission in top branches.

Hello sir I secured 461117 rank in jee mains 2026 as an EWS student which is not well rank but I don't want to take drop for a year JEE presentation so I want to take an addmission in btech cse program and my home state is odisha so I want to know in which government engeneering colleges or best private colleges with low fee and well ROI can I take addmission in Colleges like VSSUT,OUTR,IGIT Sarang and silicon university bhubaneswar in CSE btech. Ans: Chances with CSE at VSSUT/OUTR seem dim/nil. IGIT CSE is difficult/borderline. But private options like Silicon University and other Odisha private colleges are realistic for CSE. In government colleges, target lower branches at Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, Sarang, or lower-tier state colleges rather than top Odisha govt CSE.
