I am 18. I had unprotected sex with my project partner. I had an emergency pill quickly but I am getting anxious by the day. It's been two weeks now. But I am scared to visit a doctor. Can you
suggest a doctor or helpline who can give me honest advice without informing my parents. I am not able to focus on anything. Pls help.

Ans:

My dear, I understand the stress but doctors, and particularly gynaecologists, have a duty to protect the privacy of their patients. So visit your own gynaec and undergo a thorough test to set your mind at ease.

Even if you are pregnant, there are pills/procedures that can terminate the pregnancy if you wish to do so.

You are legally an adult, so no doctor is going to break the code of ethics and inform your parents post your visit.

Next time, be more careful; don't end up sleeping with someone on a whim and particularly do not indulge in unprotected intercourse as there are consequences to bear.

4 days prior to periods,
There are high chances your periods can get delayed.
The morning-after pill, also known as the I-pill, can delay your period by up to one week. However, in rare cases, your period may be delayed for several weeks. If your period is more than a week late, or if it is lighter than usual, you should take a pregnancy test and speak to a doctor.
The I-pill is an emergency contraceptive tablet that contains a synthetic hormone that mimics progesterone. It's not intended to be used as a regular method of birth control.

Ans: Yes, taking the i-pill can cause delayed periods or irregular bleeding. Sometimes after taking I pill spotting can occur within 7 days and cause irregular bleeding also. The I-pill is an emergency contraceptive pill that contains a high dose of hormones that can disrupt your menstrual cycle.
But it is advisable to do pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy.
Or visit your nearby gynae to rule out other causes if delayed menses

Sir i have a rank 33k in VITEEE but wasnt able to get into any ECE or CSE branch in VIT chennai but my friends with ranks of 70k+ got in is there any way??

For NEET 2026, there is still time. We can't predict any changes in the NEET exam at this moment, so we must wait for the notification from the NTA. It might be better for you to take an isolated exam through NIOS.

Sir I wanted to add something I gave improvement from again maharashtra board And want to give give Isolated exam from. Maharashtra board am i eligible for this for just one subject examination from Maharashtra board And sir I am not accepting the improvement result so I will go with 2024 result only

Ans: Hi Rebel, you cannot determine your marks. Normally, the regulatory body will consider only the latest RESULTS and NOT highest marks from two different attempts. Please review the guidelines of the Maharashtra board and FOR BIOLOGY and proceed accordingly.
