My suggestion is this is a better option then the 7.25% cumulative FD on 4 L after tax payment.

Ultimately it is his choice.

Another option is to utilise provisions of Section 54 of income tax act for seeking exemption by reinvesting LTCG in purchase of another residential property, subject to terms and conditions, but for 5 L ltcg, I do not think this is helpful.

So, let them work on an arrangement where she can go along with them to visit her in-laws maybe once or twice a month instead of every weekend? She obviously cannot avoid them and neither can she ask her husband to not visit his parents. If you want to leave your job, why do you need to persuade your wife to allow you to do that especially if you are financially stable and secure?
