As per your advise, being a diabetic & pancreatitis patient if I follow to take dinner at 6pm , can I improve gaining weight as I have already lost 11 kg in a year

Ans: While it is a positive intervention as we tend to eat more and digest less if we eat a late dinner, the reason for your weight loss maybe different. You should see a physician soon based on your weight loss alone.

I am a 62-year-old man, weight 83 kgs, mostly sitting work, living in Noida.I am diabetic for over 25 years. I wake up in the morning between 5.30 am to 6 am and take warm water with lemon/alovera/giloy.I then walk for about 45 minutes.I take tea with two Marie biscuits and about 30-40 gms of namkeen.For breakfast, I have two chapattis/poha/sandwich/any item.Lunch is three chapattis of wheat/ragi+besan.Evening, I have small quantity of fruit -- apple or any seasonal fruit, but not banana.Dinner is at about 8 pm; I have two chapattis.I go to sleep between 10 pm and 10.30 pm.I take medicine with insulin but my sugar level fasting does remains 180-200.-- Saraf

Your situation may seem difficult to you, but it isn't reversible.

Diabetes with excess weight is a condition which can be overcome with healthy habits.

Lack of endurance and insulin resistance is a sign of uncontrolled sugar levels.

To bring a change, you must include aerobic and strengthening exercises which will increase your lean mass and metabolism.

Include healthy foods in your diet like oats, dalia, fruits, vegetables, whole grains and beans, which contain lots of fibre. This will help increase your metabolism and thereby reduce your blood sugar levels.

Protein-rich foods are necessary for sustenance, so include foods like dairy products, eggs (if permissible), lentils, nuts, soya, etc.

Reduce too much namkeen, which is not healthy and has lots of trans fats, salt and additional calories, which will spike the blood sugar levels.

A balanced diet that contains essential nutrients, and a modification of your habits, will result in a healthy lifestyle geared towards fitness.

I am diabetic as well as having thyroid. I take first meal at 10.30 daily and second and last meal at 15.30 apart from this I take a cup of tea with a toast in morning as well as in the evening. This routine is since March 2024, there is no change in my weight still. Please let me know if I am doing wrong at any place. Or suggest some alternative of the above To reduce the weight and to reverse diabetes. Presently my diabetes is normal My diabetes medicine are Metformin Hydrochloride Prolonged-Release & Glimpride Tablets IP (500mg/1mg) + Voglibose and Metformin Hydrochloride Tablets (0.3mg/500mg)
Ans: For providing advice on weight, I need to know your weight and BMI. However, as you can see in my responses to some of the previous queries, a dietary modifications is very personalised in case of Diabetes. Moreover, person with diabetes should take smaller meals rather than heavy few meals.
More importantly, I need to know your HbA1c and Fasting and PP blood sugar levels and other lipid parameters to comment about the sufficiency of anti diabetic medication you are taking.

Your schedule indicate that you seem to be doing intermittent or time restricted fasting. This has proven benefit as the VLCD or very low calorie diet. VLCD with around 800 Kilo Calories a day, is a standard of diabetes care in many country including the UK. However, please ensure that you are not developing hypoglycemia or low sugar levels.

Regarding weight reduction strategies and reversal/remission of diabetes, a more personalised discussion with a physician is needed.

Dear sir, I have been working in pharma segment n I have a terrible experience to share almost 5–6 companies have not settle my genuine dues of salaries and expenses. Some are almost 5–8 yrs old n the latest one is almost 75 days old. Some have some special statements written on there appointment letters, which gives them freedom , and others seem to have no concerns at all. I cannot take legal action against them as a don't have so much money. In the latest episode, my company says that they cannot give me my full n final till the time stockist does not pays his dues to the company. In this regards, I want to inform you that 1 I have no dues on the stockist 2 I have returned all my property 3 companies settlement time is of 45 days 4 after fighting so long I have received one part as salary but expenses are still held they say that they will only settle my dues when the stockist pays his pending payments. 1 I have no dues certificate from all stockists 2 And my views on this is 1 I'm not in organization now, how am I responsibile for the old payments of my time, because it's responsibility of the current staff to follow up for his secondary n payments 2 party's due on company is around rs 46000 but stockist already has non sellable goods of rs 70000 in his shelf . 3 the current staff do not meet the stockist, help in liquidation of stocks or clearing payments. Kindly help me with your detailed view in how to get my ffs from this organization as I have 1 written several times on main with no proper response. 2 I have called many times to hr n concerned managers but they repeat same thing, ie payments of one stockist Kindly help me with solution to get my ffs from this n old pharma companies.
