Dear Dr. My father has been diagnosed with severally calcified all three arteries.He underwent PTCA (Angioplasty) post IVL (Lithropsy) in left descending artery.He is 84 and chronic diabetic .Is it necessary to perform the same procedure on other two arteries also? Or he will be comfortable with only one artery functional?

Ans: What does he want?
If he is not in a position to take a call, as a care giver you can take a decision considering the pros and cons. Considering his age, having undergone angioplasty, having chronic diabetes on one side, seeing how much will he be engaging into the world, you can decide. Totally an individual's call

Sir, I am 78 year old male. I was diagnosed with diabetes in 2017. currently I am talking istamet 50/500 once a day and one Empagliflozin 10 mg. My fasting sugar level is between 90 and hundred. HB A1C is around 6 for last one year. Last test it was 5.8. I underwet CABG in 2002 and angioplasty in 2020. Recently I was diagnosed with COPD. Please advise, I can't afford to consult spacialists frequenl\tly. Regards.
