My daughter age 36 met a hairline fracture on her left foot small toe which is healed after 1 month but from then she is unable to walk normal due acute pain at fracture site After MRI she is diagnosed Reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome and its nearly 3 months of fracture she still unable to properly walk. since last 1 month she is under Gabapentin 300 and nextio 5 1tab at bedtime though the pain is reduced a little but walking is difficult for her. What should be treatment so the pain could be treated and she can normally walk pls help and oblige

Ans: Please check with her foot wear, shoes with broader front tip will be supportive along with good arch
No heals recommended
She should be within her ideal weight
And alternate - Warm and cold foot baths before retiring to bed along with slight elevation of that foot before sleep helps

Dear Doctor my daughter met a hairline fracture in left small toe though it is healed but she was experiencing excruciating pain in left foot which latter diagnosed as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. How she will be recover and what is the best treatment. Does pain therapy do any good?

Ans: good Physiotherapy will be able to pick up your problem and fix it.This could be the way how you are compensating while walking or how you take the weight on the left.

My daughter met a hairline fracture in her left small toe it's though healed and its nearly 1 month after healing she is still having severe pain around fracture site and unable to walk which later diagnosed reflex systematic dystrophy how she will be completely get rid of pain and can walk normally what is the best treatment for RSD and do pain clinic do any good

Pain management clinic is a good option. Is she also taking physiotherapy?
Also some form of mindfulness techniques and pranayamas can help her so you can take the guidance of a good yoga teacher who can also guide her towards some nutrition tips to help towards RSD.
